Bedard Breakdown of Brady's 4th Quarter

Bedard has gained about 40 pounds since writing this and a whole lot of patriots hate

Orr isn't even top 3. nobody gives a rats ass about hockey anymore.

brady
bird
russell

that's the big 3. hockey? maybe 30 years ago, but just check the ratings.

Well, back to the original topic, that was the best superbowl 4th quarter performance in the history of the game. Simply amazing

Could not agree more, 13 of 15 passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Then to top it off, run out the clock from the 2 yard line.. including drawing the "greatest defense of all time" off sides to help seal with win.

And the balls were even the correct pressure, who could've thunk??

Two thoughts:
--Was Brady still sick last night? I haven't seen anything but I think the 'cool and calm' may have been 'tired and worn out'. I couldn't imagine playing a game on that stage against that defense, getting rocked time and again, feeling anything less than 100%. Whether he was sick or not, though, Brady was incredible in the 4th.

--Youngest team to ever win a SB. The people who think this is a 'last great run' from the Patriots aren't gonna like the next few years. Brady will be 'good enough' (if not great as he was for much of this season) for what is a young, dynamic and improving core--especially on defense. I don't see any reason this team can't be just as good if not better next year (providing they figure out a way to either resign Revis or work his contract under the cap).

I was almost over that little detail until someone decided to refresh this thread...thanks, brothers.

No offense meant to anyone, but the deflate jokes are beyond old, especially in a revisited thread about Brady's 4th quarter SB performance and a ranking of the greatest sports legends in Boston history.

I'm actually looking forward to the comparisons between next season and the Mevis season. I'm sure there will be tons of posts dedicated to him so you were going to get it then anyway

I got over Mevis as soon as the season was over. I pretty much knew he wasn't coming back, but I was sure when Woody told him he'd open up the vault for him.

Pick one:

The only thing that could have topped this would have been 19-0 in 2007, and even that wouldn't have had the number of great plays that this one had. Brady picked Seattle's great defense apart so badly they were running into each other on defense from start to finish. Remarkable performance by the GOAT. Belichick probably already got on Brady about the picks though. :D

Interesting that you left out MLB.

Here's how I see it with the players that I've had the pleasure of watching live;
Celts - Russell
Pats - Brady
Bruins - Orr
Sox - Pedro
I also think a case could be made for all those guys as the greatest in their sports at their positions.

I feel blessed.

baseball is dying too. red sox fan base is still big, but pats fan base is much bigger. i mean 5-6 times bigger.

ratings don't lie. merchandise sales don't lie. baseball will continue to die.

not too long ago gretzky was as big as MJ. but look at how quickly MJ separated himself from a guy who was equally great.

For me
Sox - Williams

no Vince, no Mevis, no Browner, no Connolly (probably)... I'd think that the average age of the roster is likely to go down a bit further for this upcoming season.

You know what would help make the roster average age go down?
A 22yo first round pick. But we can't have that now, can we?
...The 1984 Trail Blazers got over the draft more easily than I will.
