He put his own money into a stadium and other items. Had he not, the team would be in St. Louis. Despite a bad experience with Parcells, he took a chance, giving complete control to Belichick, a coach seen by man as being a failure [though a great assistant].
I didn't say he did nothing good, but twice he has turned his back on the franchise because he figured he could make more money that way. He has been the beneficiary of Belichick and Brady, and must also be accountable for his failings that hurt them, and the team.

The 9ers have 5 Championships they didn't win in 1980.

I knew I musta double-counted something, I had 5 by memory too. Turns out this time memory was better than reading. Still a notch up on us I'm thinkin'. Not after the next one.

He asked belichick if the taping was against the rules and BB said it was.

I don't see how deciding it was futile [Jonathan Kraft's words] to beg the emperor for mercy in a league that is obviously fixed against the Patriots right now [see heated balls on TV with VP of officiating commenting on it's illegality but no punishment] is turning his back on the team.

If anything he had to swallow his pride to take a course with a chance of success [ditching goodell] over the popular route, which would be a loud, pointless appeal to Goodell as judge, jury and executioner, diffusing the impact of the NFLPA and Brady appeal and possible lawsuit that has a tremendous chance of success for Brady, and the players and could really screw up the league.

Besides an emotional venting, what purpose would an appeal to the guy who authorized the punishment in a fixed league, serve?

You don't think it's fixed, right?

Check this out about 2:45 with the host asking the VP of officiating Blandino...Now that's illegal. What are you guys going to do about that?

And, they were caught in the act on TV!

Actually, unless you have stock, it's his team. I know i didn't have a billion dollars to buy a broken down racetrack, then the worst stadium in football, the leverage that into keeping the team from going to st. Louis, the original agenda of the meeting, to financing the stadium out of pocket.

It's definitely his team, more than any other owner, who begs the taxpayers to build a stadium.

So, what you're saying his, he's taking sides against himself. I kind of find that hard to believe.

There are 31 other teams, so unless someone here owns a team, or has the were with all to buy a team [and a stadium, since he might use that for soccer or something] you're kind of stuck with either watching his team, or one of the other owner's teams.

I still watched Victor Kiam's team, no matter what i thought of him, but i never thought of it as "my" team, I just hoped they weren't blacked out and there was something to watch on Sunday.

There is plenty do do on Sundays without watching football. It's possible that Kraft will find that out when many of "his" fans follow Brady and Belichick out the door.

Exactly. Kraft shouldn't get a free pass because Brady and Belichick are great at what they do.

Kraft believes in parity. B&B don't.

Why is it labelled "world champion" if this game is only played in America? London doesn't count.

That ks not true..

If the league is fixed against the Patriots it is not futile to fight and expose it. The other owners didn't even read the report. The idea that it was futile by the way is silly. What do they lose by appealing? Goodell himself said he wanted Brady to being new information and clarify the Wells report.

What? He praised Goodell and didnt mention Brady. He threw Brady under the bus. Fighting would have helped Brady, giving up makes him look guilty.

Besides an emotional venting, what purpose would an appeal to the guy who authorized the punishment in a fixed league, serve?
We all know the Wells report is crap. It was Krafts job to fight that. Instead he called it rhetoric that has gone on too long.

You don't think it's fixed, right?
If it is that is all the more reason to fight. How do you protect your legacy, reputation and get fair treatment by not even challenging the guy screwing you?
You sound like someone who moved to get away from the bully.

You would think that could be Exhibit A if Kraft hadn't quit on his team.

I started reading how people wanted a break from football this offseason, how people were looking forward to this offseason and then defamegate happened, etc., and I thought,

Maybe I should bump this.

This is what happened in the 2014 NFL* Season.

This is the result of climbing that mountain. This is the pinnacle for players and the vicarious pinnacle for fans.

By all means we should all enjoy whatever news there is on whatever Pats-related topic is out there, but I'm personally taking out another minute to say "That makes 4... WOOT!" again.

I think the Pats could beat the 53 best football players from any nation on the planet. By the way, way ahead of you... I mean FOOTBALL, not soccer :)

I dunno man. If you train those Polynesians. And that's only the women I'm talking about.

Good timing on the bump. Coincidently I brought out the 3 games to glory 4 a couple of days ago and have been
Going through that. I reccomend this....very good for your mental health.

I don't think we run the ball as well if all our players go back to American Samoa and Tonga and put up a team.

Sure, they'd be slow in the skill position, but you'd really need to work for a sack.

If the game is only played in America, then it logically follows that the best team in America is indeed the best team in the world.

Using that logic the CFL could make the same claim. Their game is only played in Canada.

IMHO it seems pretentious whenever any American team is described as a world champion. I know Kraft likes to emphasize the world champion part when he gives his winning speeches, but that could be because he wants to drum up more fans.

NFL winners are the NFL Champions.
MLB winners are the MLB Champions.
NBA winners are the NBA Champions.
And the NHL winners are the NHL Champions.

That should be what they call themselves.

And if you train those Polynesians, they go to NFL* teams. QED.

But they don't. There's a reason for that: if the players are good enough to play in the NFL* they do. I know that, you know that, and they know that. The greatest player in CFL history was Doug Flutie. Love the lil guy, but come on.

What do you call the annual championship series in MLB where you come from? (On that subject, however, I do think they should call it the MLB championship and let professionals from around the world compete for the "World Series." It's possible that we'd lose to a Latin American or Japanese team in the "World Championship," unless all the players under contract to a U.S. team had to play for that team.)

I try not to watch MLB anymore but I grew up and live a short distance from Fenway. My dad, brother and I were season ticket holders when a box seat in line with 2nd and 1st cost $12.

They actually have had a world championship recently in baseball, and I think the Korean and Japanese teams won the last two.

As for Flutie, an argument could be made that he didn't get a real chance in the NFL. If he did he might have had a decent NFL career and maybe surpassed Warren Moon like he did in Canada.

Even if a sport is played in other parts of the world, which football is not btw, the American champion is still only playing against other teams from America. That makes the World Champion claim a pretentious one.

That's precisely what pink hats and band wagon fans do. We'll find out who the real fans are once that happens.
