Have always wondered why certain Cities seem to be havens for the Superbowl, NOLA for example... they have the facilities plus the infrastructure to support the influx of people.. pretty good weather. But that city is known for being on the edge of corruption in all levels of government.. the Long's, Edwards, Jefferson, Nagin and the list goes on and on.

It is anecdotal, but it would seem to "protect the shield" they would have every Super Bowl in Salt Lake City or some other place with heavy religious overtones.. not in "dens of iniquity".. gotta "protect the shield"...

Is it coincidental that the only cold weather Super Bowl was in the Meadowlands.. not that there is a conflict of interest with that franchise of anything like that..

Even the draft, why was it always in NY.. did Chicago offer more behind the scenes??

It would not surprise me somewhere down the line that we find out that payoffs were part of the overall scheme of things..

If not can always start a rumor... that would be fun.

The NHL is the greatest sports league in the world, it is comparable to all of the world's greatest soccer players going to play in the Premiership and playing each other day in day out. I follow football more closely because of all of the pieces that go into building a championship caliber team, but hockey is more fun to actually watch, and anyone who has been following these playoffs or even just the Chicago vs Anaheim series can attest to that. You literally can't take your eyes of it without missing something exciting. I think it will be my favorite sport period in the new future.

What's happening to FIFA now will be happening to the NFL in a decade. Watch.

In my experience, a chicken little looks exactly the same on our side of the border.

Except he's saying "The sky is rising..."? Sorry, that made no sense even to me. But you know the whole summer = winter, flush reversal thing...

Don't worry, the notion of Christmas in winter is a strange one when you're used to 100 degree heat and beach trips.

The notion of Christmas anytime is a little magical to me. But family's family, whattayagonnado.

Good food, good wine, and good company is the same in both hemispheres my friend. Evidently, Jets fans are still ***** here.

So Blatter has resigned, hopefully the beginning of the end of corruption for FIFA but I very much doubt it - they'll get someone equally as shady to replace him. Still, a great day for football regardless.
