should be a great couple of days. Goodell will be exposed for the fraud he is.

Goodell will be exposed eventually in a trial, but he's running the show and the spin here, so he'll get by somehow....

unless he does go 100% belly-up here to avoid getting reamed by a truly independent judge later.

He's ridden the lies this far, though, so it's hard to imagine him quitting all at once.

Let's see ... Two days to hear the appeal, 'til June 25. Another six weeks to review the appeal, three weeks for Goodell's vacation, a week for Goodell's secretary's vacation, five-day Labor Day break, etc., etc. Ruling should come down late September/early October, or thereabouts. Brady court action gets filed in January, exchanging of briefs and discovery takes 'til June 2016. Court case convenes in November, 2016. Final verdict probably comes in April, 2017.

This is where Brady, at Krafty Bob's urging/pleading takes his 4 games like a good management ally

Congrats NFL. That will keep you in the news all the way through the NBA finals.

If this goes to court as I expect, it may be in the news until the 2016 NBA finals, after TB plays a whole year with the suspension on hold by court order until a final decision is reached.

Injunction filings will likely mean Brady plays all of 2015, even if the suspension is upheld at the end.

Nope. Goodell will issue his ruling in July, because he will take the stance that his ruling should end things, and it's obviously better for the suspension's term to be definitively and finally fixed in July rather than later.

Then, of course, Brady will go to court and get an injunction.

Brady is more likely to miss opening game against the Steelers to injury than he is to suspension ... almost. There still is the chance of a deal in which the penalty is cut from 4 games to 1, and Goodell clearly exonerates Brady of most accusations.

What's in the appeal? Is it like a hearing with new evidence or does Goodell just send out a memo that says "I have reviewed my decision and declare that I agree with myself."

I was just being silly with my faux timeline.

I hope Brady doesn't accept any penalty, not even a paltry fine.

The latter.

This appeal is a joke and is only important because it needs to happen before Brady can go to court. So it being delayed an entire month is crap since it is now inevitable that this whole process will go well into next season.

I'm not counting on this hearing to bring any satisfaction at all. Especially not if they are pleading their case to Goodell. Ultimately I don't expect this to be resolved until we get to court. Buckle your seatbelts.
