I’m out. I’m done with the NFL.

I hate the owners—Robert Kraft included—who clearly don’t care about fans like me. I hate the media covering the NFL, even the media who are deferential to the Patriots or at least to due process. I hate the draft. I hate the playoffs. I hate the Super Bowl. Most of all I hate the NFL, DirecTV, ESPN, CBS, Fox, NBC, fantasy football and every platform that has made the NFL a religion. Mark Cuban predicted the NFL would implode over its own greed and arrogance and drive away fans, and in my case he was right. I’ve reached my saturation point. I’m tired of caring about this dumb set of 32 corporations.

My favorite team won the Super Bowl on one of the most exciting plays in NFL history, but that play that has barely been viewed as a success of the Patriots and largely seen as a failure of Pete Carroll, because the media love counterintuitive angles. And now the Patriots have been dismembered and destroyed by the media and the league for one of the most absurd accusations of all time. The only positive note for Pats owner Robert Kraft outside the Boston bubble has been praise for his capitulating to the league’s disciplinary process. Fans around the country take glee in his decision not to pursue an appeal rather than seeing it for what it was—a savvy business decision in an unwinnable scenario. Those same fans are trying to reinforce false narratives about both Spygate and Deflategate. It’s like arguing with climate change deniers—I can’t fight someone who refuses to listen.

Great read

Jeezus! Now I have been reduced to liking Peter King?

FU, NYFL!

I was with him, sort of, until his bit at the end about "climate change deniers". Then I realized he was another twoofer, a chem-trails conspiracy nutbag. If he'll fall for the great hoax of anthropomorphic climate change, then he hasn't got the requisite brain cells to form an opinion based upon facts, rather than "consensus". Consensus is NOT science. Having said all of that, it doesn't surprise me that his litttle adolescent tirade was published by Peter King. He's a shill, a lap dog for his corporate masters in the NFL, and long since lost any credibility amongst those who not just love football, but who use their brains for more than just skull stuffing.

YMMV, of course, but that's how I see it.

Yeah well it's his POV but I'd rather we didn't get into this argument on this forum. It's just gonna derail the point.

Maybe he or she can give their Pats merchandise away to someone who will make use of it...

If you read the comments of that article, you'll see why I'm having a hard time caring. I'm trying to get back into football, trying to care again, but it's hard. It's so much damned work.

Ah well.

I hate the NFL but I love the Patriots players and coaches. F everybody else and I'll keep watching the Pats no matter what.the lying turds aren't going to convince me what I do. I'm not one of their sheep that believes all of their manipulative lies.

Watching the Baltimore playoff game right now and basking in glory again.

I have a friend who just finished about 10 straight years of academia to achieve his doctorates and he would adamantly disagree with you.

I also have another friend that has been working in Antarctica for 2 years, and there are chunks of glaciers bigger than cities and states in some cases that are going to be breaking away within the next year or so.

The carbon dioxide emissions have also been so overwhelming that the ocean is slowly becoming more acidic from absorbing it all.. It can be measured already, and at this rate in the next 60+ years there won't be anything alive in the oceans at all.

Like JackBauer said, you can have your speculation and what not on climate change... but to put it into the same category as conspiracy theories and other crazy things that people say is unbelievably ignorant.

Just popped onto CSNNE and Felger just lost it over this. Seriously. Funny as hell. What a loser. Why don't people picket the studio to get him fired?

Why do people continue to give him ratings..

Worst off-season ever... AND WE WON THE SB!!!

Unreal.

Wow. Can't believe someone here was published. Kudos to him. I agree wholeheartedly. It will be very hard to stop watching this team however. The BB, TFB and Gronk show is amazing.
