Tired of Bedard

Let's not get all stressy about Bedard. He's never pretended to be a Pats-supporting writer, and we shouldn't be surprised that he just wants to shut the debate down now.

He's generally an intelligent writer who's gone out of his way to learn about X's and O's. Goes to coaching clinics and that sort of thing. So when he goes on the radio and talks about the team, he's better than most of the others out there.

Like all the national media writers, he has 31 other teams and the league office itself yapping in his ear about how the Patriots are cheaters and should be collectively castrated. We shouldn't be surprised that he's drunk the Kool Aid - everyone else has. That's what the Wells Report was designed to achieve...and it's worked.

The appeal will be turned down. Brady will go to court. And if/when he wins, the narrative changes. Until then, all we can do is wait.

If he has "31 other teams and the league office yapping in his ear about how the Patriots are cheaters and should be collectively castrated" and he's neither objective nor self I disciplined enough to resist it and think on his own, then the criticism of him here and elsewhere is warranted.

How would someone who read my transcripts know that?
I guess they would know that by reading them. Frankly, I don't remember you transcribing them, so when I made that comment, it had nothing to do with you. In hindsight I should have said 'most'.

Yeah, I get what you mean but I just don't expect any of these non-local media guys to understand what a load of **** the Wells Report is without reading it.

It's the whole 250 pages thing, the media cycle is so ridiculously short that all they seem to do is tweet and retweet. Back in the newspaper era you might have expected a writer to sit down and read through it properly before filing their copy for the next day's paper. Just doesn't seem to happen anymore. Unless they really care about an issue they just regurgitate what everyone else tells them, and that's Bedard and a bunch of otherwise decent hacks right now.

I understand your point of view. My only additional points would be that 1) Bedard was, and in some respects still is, a local guy. He's on the radio with Squeaky and the Douche weekly during the season and appears on CSNNE fairly regularly even in the off-season and, 2) I believe a national person who makes her/his living exclusively covering the NFL SHOULD read a document like the Wells Report in its entirety. It's part of her/his job if s/he wants to be considered a pro.

Bedard & Felger ... 2 dribbling douchebags ... 1 cup.

I have always like bedard...guess i am in the minority

You know what? If Brady's innocent, great! If Brady's guilty, who gives a ****? We are talking about letting 1 or 2 psi out of a football. He's still the GOAT and the Boston media are sheep. How do I know that? He played better in the second half of the drug addict Colts game, when the football's psi was over 12.5.

In the end, this is all ********. Brady has piles of money, Giselle and four rings. Goodell has money, an ex-Fox anchor hag and his sore hand.

I'm sick of this ****. Don't get mad, get even, as an old Bostonian President once said. Let's get ring no. 5.

We are REALLY talking about the bizarre idea of someone wanting somewhere between 0.0 and 0.4 psi let out of ONLY three of 12 footballs, without knowing which footballs will be used in the game when (or if ever), with an error in the measurements of plus or minus 0.4 psi!

I was using Goodell-Tea Party physics. Sorry . . .
