El Presidente David Portnoy from Barstool sports was on D & C this morning. Interesting idea for the opening game against the Steelers if Brady is suspended. Pres wants an empty stadium to make a statement on national TV that embarrasses the league. Then he floated a very interesting scenario to help make it happen....a union picket line outside of Gillette. How cool would that be?? You've never keep everyone out but imagine a half empty stadium.

Well we got 200 people to show up Sunday. Probably realistic to think we can keep 68,000 out.

Not one to doubt stoolie nation but I don't think it is possible. That said I wish it was.

expecting people to purchase tickets, show up to game and not go in? good luck with that

not gonna be an issue.

Brady won't miss a game
but if Goodell & Kraft dare show theirs faces , they should be pelted with flaming bags of dog feces

The statement would be to not go in until 15 minutes after the game started. I would do that.
Of course, the chances of getting others to go along will be slim since Brady will not serve any suspension.

That sounds like it could turn violent.

I think having a fire Goodell, or better yet "f*** Goodell" T-shirt day would be fun. Watching the broadcast try to not show anyone in the stands and avoid what was happening would be interesting.

The NFL has gotten much better at censoring the shots of the stands. On late season games with empty seats they avoid long shots and only show enthusiastic hard liners in the front rows.

What if everyone goes to the game, but then if/when Kraft or Goodell is introduced, everyone stands up, turns around with their back to the field, and the stadium gets deathly quiet.

Agree. Most folks don't realize that, outside of the actual play on the field, the rest of the shots are directed from the trailer where the Director, producer, etc along with the tech are located.

If you ever watch closely when they show shots of the interior of the trailer, you will see a bank of screens, one for each camera on the field. The director tells his crew which camer to go to, when to fade in or out, whether he wants to zoom in on someone, get a tight shot, or wide angle, etc.

It takes a LOT of practice and coordination for the broadcast team to get this right, and as you say, the networks are getting better at it every year. If they or the NFL don't want something seen, it won't be seen.

Which union?
Who will pay the $50 parking for the union members?
Will Pres send his union employees? Oh that's right....everyone at Barstool is an unpaid intern but the middle aged frat boy with the schnoz.
Pres' sit in went so well he should keep running with his brilliant ideas

As long as Goodell is the only one that's injured. :)

I don't want him physically injured. However, having his ego bruised wouldn't bother me one bit. Nor would seeing him pelted with tomatoes, cabbages, rotting fruit or cream pies. Make him walk between two long lines of loud and angry fans so he gets the message right up front and personal.

But I draw the line at violence in this particular case. Violence has it's uses, but not in this particular situation.

I like your idea, but since no one will remove this corrupt politician from power I have no problem if he happens to get hurt or pelted by stuff. I'd enjoy every moment of it. He would totally deserve it.

As much as I like your idea, that wouldn't be enough as long as people keep throwing money at their product. Money is the only type of communication Goodell and the owners care about.

Unfortunately, you are correct.

El Pres sit in went brilliantly. Do you realize the pub his site got?

This was the first thing that came to my mind on seeing this thread. Open a can of Amish whoopie-ass shunning on them.

Maybe wear all black on top of that.

Use "Fire Goodell" instead of a swear or even F***, if you want it on TV.

Goodell needs to stay the hell out of Foxboro. He should consider himself banned

If I'm a juror, Goodell showing up is "fighting words."

In this case the ratings and hype for NBC giving Colinsworth and whats-his-name a reason to talk deflategate almost guarantees that NBC will show the empty stands.

I honestly want Goodell to be there opening night. I want him to be there and I want the videoboard to show his despicable image right at kickoff so the fans can give him the Foxboro welcome he deserves.
