PUP list for Hightower?

He'll prob start camp on it. But, he's supposed to be out 6-7 months. 6 months is Mid-August. Opener is S10TH. 7 months. I'd guess he'll come off PUP at some point in late August. So, he can practice. Mayo could also start camp on PUP.

Glorious

My buddy spent all last week working out with Dane back here in montana.

He told me this was Danes plan. Glad to see it happened
You didn't tell us?

Or did it get burried by #defamegate?

With the amount of LB depth the team has right now, I wouldn't be surprised if one or both of Hightower/Mayo started the year on PUP. The somewhat shocking thing is, a starting trio of Spikes, Collins and Fletcher isn't really too bad.

Perhaps, one or both won't be ready to start the season, but still be on the roster. In any case, we have now have solid backups.

Me too!!! There's a great contingent of Masshole Pats fans in Bozeman, MT...where Dane played college ball....Go Cats...that will be glad to watch games at Dane's family bar, The Cannery, now that he's back. I'm sure they've missed us!! Go Pats!

Cool Beans. Can never have enough depth. IDK if he makes the team or not though. For that 5th LB spot you might just want to keep the best STs player. I don't think that is him.. but who knows.

Nice. I remember him having a very good game against Denver a couple of years ago.

Everything indicates that BB wanted to boost the DL and LB corps to suffocate and generate pressure 100% of the time.

In a scenario like this QB's will have to get rid of the ball fast, leaving the doors open for CB's to make plays so maybe that's why he's not in desperate mode regarding the CB position, because we will need a couple ball hawks and guys who do an OK job and know their assignments. A overall top CB is always a safe bet but if Bill is moving the focus of the defense towards the front 7 then I can see him trying a lot of CB's to see what sticks on the wall.

Sucks for him and Spikes they missed the SB. Time to get their's.

Love me some Cannery

Any pats fan would feel right at home

Wasn't really my place to say. Besides, I didn't want to get my hopes up in case it didn't happen

The reason so many Patriot free agents who sign elsewhere routinely disappoint, at least imo, is because Belichick plays them to their strengths whereas teams that sign them to bigger money than NE would give them are looking for more from them and usually don't end up getting what they bargained for. I think that was the case with Fletcher, he played well in a limited role in NE but not as well when Tampa wanted more from him. I think he's another piece in their rotation and sub packages and will be fine in that capacity. Overall I really like what Belichick has done to bolster the front seven, the competition for spots and playing time is going to be fierce, hopefully they can do more to bolster the corners before September role around.

We've got plenty of cap space. I'd also like to get a 3rd down back. I don't think Cadet or White can do it.

I would really like to see them bring in Knowshon Moreno, when healthy he's an outstanding back and can give them the speed to get outside they are currently lacking.

Receptionist: May I help you Dr...?
Fletch: Oh, it's me, Dr. Rosenpenis. I'm just here to check out Alan Stanwyk's file.
Receptionist: Dr. who?
Fletch: Dr. Rosenrosen, I'm here to get to the records room.
Receptionist: What was that name again?
Fletch: It's Dr. Rosen, I want to check the records room.
Receptionist: Dr. who?
Fletch: Dr. Rosen. Where's the records room?

Do they have the Beatles White Album?
