Who is your player For 2015?

toss up between dobson and easly.

both guys coming off years ending on IR.

Dobson showed brief flashes of being a starter on this team, and im anxious to see if he was the heart to battle it out with lafell for that start position.

Easly is finally going to be 100% after we took him with the injury concerns his rookie year. I'd love to see him be a monster for the team and rack up double digit sacks.

As much as I like Dobson, I can't see any way Lafell isn't a starter. He was the most underrated player on the team. he made difficult plays look really easy, so maybe that's why.

Jabaal Sheard.

Sheard, Jones, Easley, Ninko, Collins are going to be fun to watch, keeping each other fresh and hopefully getting to the QB regularly.

Butler, and in general the CB position (maybe McCourty if some board chatter is true that he might be transitioned back?). I'd normally go Chandler Jones and/or Easley but I think the line and front-7 will be quite good even if they don't dominate/take a step forward. But this season may hinge on how the secondary shapes up, so I'll be watching Butler and the rest of the CB's, hoping they can find some competent cover men.

Intrigued by Easley....

Flowers is my 2015 binky.

I'm picking Zach Moore. He showed a lot last year for a kid who came from a small school. I also think BB sees potential in him.

Jamie Collins. With Mayo back he will be unleashed upon QBs and have double digit sacks.

Tyler Gaffney I would say, I'm interested in how the whole RB competition unfolds.

Cameron Fleming and Tre' Jackson, could be the Guards going forward.

I don't know why I keep forgetting they signed Sheard. He is going to be a cog in the front 7.

At very least, he should be a good replacement of Ayers.

Sheard for me. I think he will go from unknown to household name. He will be pass rushing from the OLB position and DE position and I think he will be a badass.

With OTA's opening up today, it got me thinking a little bit, so here's a question for people to get things going. Looking at the current roster, regardless of whether or not they're a rookie, veteran, etc. which player are you most curious about heading into 2015 in terms of how you think they'll perform or whether or not they'll have a big season?

Malcolm Butler. I have high hopes for him, and think he will be a very good CB for us. Not just based on that one play (that's in my sig) but he played well at times last year. The Denver game actually stands out to me. His play in the SB before the INT was also top notch.

Ya, the RB Group is going to be interesting. James White is also on my list of guys who I am interested/optimistic about.

Jimmy Garoppolo we will need him to come through if Brady doesn't win the appeal.

Agree. Some/much of JG's success will also be a reflection on how BB and the coaching staff adjust the scheme/plan to his abilities or lack there of.

And if JG goes down we might be seeing Edelman attempting passes to Amendola for a few games. (Doubt it, but would make for intriguing television)

I'm most curious about Butler. From a talented but raw UDFA, to a star in the SB. Will he be another McCourty that slumped in his 2nd year or will Butler become our #1 or#2 CB starter and continue to impress.

2nd choice would be Brown, is he the next Vince Wilfork

3rd choice is Easley, will he be a disruptive force that we drafted or an injury waiting to happen.

Easley. They need a beefy front 7. They have that, the DBs will be more than good enough.

Danny Amendola. It took long enough but he was clearly a key part of their passing attack in the post season. With Edelman and Gronk getting most of the attention I think Amendola will have a really strong season with around 70 receptions and over 800 yards, but the most important stat for him, other than games played, is going to be first downs., and of he contributes significantly there it will be a big deal for their offense.

Butler Island

I also like Easley, Gaffney, and I'm super high on Daryl Roberts.

dont get me wrong i like lafell. but in order to get better you need competition. If dobson pushes lafell its win win for the patriots. Either dobson surpasses lafell, or lafell feels the heat on his chair and gets better. Nobody is just given a roster spot, so seeing which one earns that starter position is going to be fun

I'm looking forward to seeing Daryl Roberts and his development... I really think he has a chance to be an important player this upcoming year and I excited to see how he performs.
