The best quarterback by this metric? Tom Brady. Brady has played in 106 games (including playoffs) where the Patriots allowed at least 21 points. In those games, Brady is 60-46, for a 0.566 winning percentage. Given that we would “expect” Brady to win 25% of those 106 games — that is, 26.5 games — Brady has exceeded expectations by 33.5 wins. All the usual caveats apply: wins should not be applied to the quarterback, there are lots of reasons not to read too much into the data, etc. But sometimes, it’s just good to do a data dump, even if you only find the information useful for trivia purposes.

Thought I would pass along.

Next closest % is....Montana
Peyton next and up there in # wins. Until Denver he did not have very good defenses.

As always Brady wins the metrics.

It is amazing what 0.02 less PSI will do for a quarterback's performance, isn't it?

Clearly, this happened because of balls with 0.5 psi less than the allowed limit /s

Cool stat but definitely needs some context

Not hard to give up 21 when you've already scored 45

Actually from a defensive ppg standpoint, the Colts were almost right there with the Pats in the 2000s

He just isn't as good of a qb as Brady :D

I think the best way to look at this stat is the capability of the offense to win irrespective of how the defense is playing. So sure, the defense may have played well in some of those games and gave up points in garbage time, but if the offense put up 40+ points, then they would likely have won even with a ****ty defensive performance.

By the time Brady's done he'll put up numbers that no QB will touch, even with the Keystone Cops chasing him around.

Let's face it, the combination of Brady and Belichick has been too much for the NFL to handle.

But Peyton wins, hands down, every commercial statistic..
