It's either down or we have re-direct and other issues. I haven't seen this many problems on any of the other team forums I visit.

NE Patriots: #1 on the field, dead last when it comes to online forums.

You're asking the wrong question. The real questions you should be asking are:

Why is Kraft a coward?
Why are Kraft and the other 31 owners greedy bastards?
Why do people like scumbag Goodell continue to be allowed to stay in power?
Why do we as a society buy into the propaganda so easily in this day and age?

I'm sure I missed many more questions that need to be asked.

I know it's the holiday and all, but one o'clock is pretty early to be so drunk...

Not meaning to push your question aside, but I think Ian does a pretty good job of staying on top of updates, bugs, and increased traffic, considering that he does a major portion on his own. In other words, he has a life outside of the forum, and I believe that includes both a full-time job and a family.

I'm pretty happy with my 20-25 dollar investment once a year.

One evening recently it went down almost exactly at midnight. I would have posted about that but it's surely reflected in logs Ian has already seen.

I couldn't connect last night, but is there some rational, constructive criticism here or are your meds off?

You hate the site so much that you are clocking 60 posts per month? How frequently do you post on the sites you like?

Ian maintains the site himself. If you have never tried that endeavor in your life, give it a shot before you advance non-constructive and disrespectful criticism in the form you now offer. It isn't as easy as turning on the computer and posting.

You choose a mathematical expression as your screen name, so I would recommend you embrace a higher, more rational standard of intellect and try something more akin to scientific method or generally trouble tickets. Tell Ian (1) what was the issue specifically, (2) at what time/times did it occur and (3) if you have more than one computer and/or browser, did it repeat on all?

Ian doesn't demand that people pay for the site, and this not a money maker for him. There is an actual job in his life as well as his site, which is a labor of love for a fan of the team. He has been working his tail off in order to fix this redirect issue (a first in my 8 years here). As you return frequently and do not support the site yourself, feel free to change your tone or exercise your rights as a non-paying consumer and leave. I think the forum will survive without your contributions intellectually.

The first thing you can do to make this better is become a patsfan.com supporter to help Ian defray the costs of this endeavor...

Having been here for a long time, I experience minimal problems on this board.. gotta remember that this is run by one man who works full time and raises a family.. and is completely independent of any network or other organization..

Take it for what it is worth, this is a great site that reflects the knowledge and passion of Patriots Fans..

It's the NFL's fault as they are trying to squash the truth (by disrupting the site). Ian is doing his part to lead the charge and we should all be thankful for that. :D

The migration that was supposed to take place Friday hit a snag and got moved to last night. With the holiday I forgot to post something beforehand, but it's complete and thankfully finished without any issues.

As for the redirect, trust me, you weren't the only one irritated. Although I'll say this, I looked at about 30+ other fan sites from around the league last night while looking at some things and got hit with it 6 times...it's apparently a widespread issue and that picture is even nastier on a full size screen. But I've had upgrades and other things done recently to shore us up to make sure we're hopefully done with it.

And as another posted, that's the first issue like that we've ever had, and aside from the DDOS attack leading up to the Super Bowl we didn't have any real issues last season and overall, since upgrading the software, it's run pretty well over the last year+. Last night unfortunately comes with the territory, but part of the reason for the change should be quicker response and better performance. So I'm ok with it.

You should probably just leave then. I'm pretty sure nobody really cares for or about you here anyway.

I'd like to know why my page keeps rolling back to the top for the Starbucks add. Is this happening to anyone else?

I can't even read to the bottom of a page......

Quality post, freeloader. You could have asked your question to Ian in a much more productive way.

Ian founded this website as a labor of love and has a full-time real world job and family.

What are you doing here if it 'comes in dead last for online forums'?

I have had this problem myself the last few weeks here, extremely annoying. Didn't look at what adds were showing though and it's working fine atm.

I have no idea why you would feel compelled to post such a mean spirited topic. Not constructive in any way. Just putting someone's hard work down without the slightest care. Disgusting attitude to take towards something you do not pay for. You aren't owed a thing. This place is a privilege and nothing more.

I can remember down time for every 'forum' I use. This includes giant companies like reddit. This forum is maintained by donations and out of pocket from the owner. The guy is constantly volunteering his time to keep this site up.

This isn't a product you bought.

What exactly did you expect to come from this post?

I believe he was just contributing empirical evidence in order to establish as true the adage "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt."

Dude, everything is amazing. Breathe and enjoy.
