Brady gets a new dog named . . .

Come to think of it, Kraft should've gotten the dog named Scooby.

Kraft: "Like, hey Scoobs! It's Roger Goodell! Zoinks!"

Can't wait until the mediots put their spin on this one.
Been thinking about why the NFL would go after the Pats and especially Tom. Both the team and the qb put the lie to the notion of parity. Whether the Goodells of the world want to admit it or not, Tom makes the draft look silly. A 6th round pick is unquestionably the GOAT. A team formerly known as the Patsies is the team every other team wants to emulate--and this in the salary cap era--a salary cap designed to promote parity. Taking away high picks and keeping Brady out for a quarter of the season is Goodell's bumbling way of trying to implement parity and help the Jets, his true love, but he hasn't been watching BB closely enough. Even if all the penalties are upheld, the Patriots will prevale and the Jets will still suck.

Your pic is closer to reality than the Wells Report.

The sun would always shine for me, even on the rainiest days, if this could also be prophetic.

I've been thinking about this - what is the NFL's endgame here. A big piece is just Goodell is so arrogant that he will attempt to smack down anyone that seems to be getting a bigger share of attention - that and he has surrounded himself with sycophants that have their own small and personal axe to grind with the Pats/BB.

The other element, and it hit me reading comments on various articles. There's an amazing number of non-football fans that feel compelled to weigh-in on Tom Brady. There was a post earlier about a pats fan on a plane and some elder lady was complaining about TB abandoning his pregnant girlfriend, blah, blah. IMO - the NFL loves this. Getting this non-sports audience to pay attention to the league (like it was a reality show or some piece of crap soap opera) is gold to the sponsors. It opens up a whole new bunch of consumers to be pitched to and the NFL is carrying the sponsors water.

I think we are going to see more and more of this non-sense as the league looks to ever-expand it's footprint and revenue base. It would not surprise me if Kraft gets this and supports it.

The first time Scooby takes a massive dump in Gisele's new sunroom, he'll be forever known as Roger...
