How about a separate thread for Kraft supporters that can feature all the good things he has down for himself financially and his 31 partners. It can also highlight how he helped his beloved friend Goodell in the past and the resultant goodwill it has generated for the Pats. Finally, it can illustrate the accolades received by Kraft from people like Polian and Borges for putting the league ahead of the pats in his thinking. This way the Pats fans could avoid the BS put out by the Kraft supporters and the Kraft supporters wouldn't have to be subjected to the feelings of the Pats fans.

Don't folks think it might be time to utilize the DeflateGate Forum again. I think we have all had our fill of this B.S. It would be nice to still have the option of talking about it, but maybe as a side topic. I want to see more discussion of the upcoming season and "real" Patriot news. I will still read up on DeflateGate or whatever we want to cal it, but these topics are dominating the board and it is getting a bit much.

I was opposed to this a week ago but believe that would be the best way to get back to discussing football now. It can always come back to the main forum when Brady appeals and sue the league. My hope is that when Brady wins's in court he takes the Goodell Mansion at Prouts Neck (aka Black Point) it would be nice to see the Brady's at Scarborough Beach. And if we got really lucky we could get to see Rog, I can call him that, he's a neighbor, standing in the median at Congress St. And St. John's St. With a cardboard sign reading

Nobody is happy with it but some realize that out is done with and that while Kraft f.cked up big time he has still done more than enough to deserve to. be treated with some respect and not called a f.cking scumbag who should die.

Eh, I give Kraft until Round #1 of the 2016 draft before I judge anything, and the Benedict Arnold thing is a bit much. Kraft did not offer the capture of Washington (Brady) to the Brits (Goodell) and try to become a general for the Brits.

BTW, **** the Starbucks ad that makes the screen scroll up even though I'm down here. Ian should be congratulated for putting up with them. :)

What starbux ad?

Are you on their network?

Well first off I do think the webpage and message board is great. This is where the best pats fans post and the board I check several times a day for breaking news. I love reading this board.

However look at some of these topics over the past few days.

I hope Brady asks for a trade.

Kraft turning on Brady now too
Benedict Arnold was intelligent and successful too.....
Kraft will get boo'd while hoisting a banner
I hope Brady signs with the Buffalo Bills

That is only some of them. I understand people are upset that Kraft didn't want to get nuclear and sue the league and his fellow owners but some have lost their minds. These are the topics getting the most popular votes as well which at this point is the equivalent of being in a rock band playing a concern standing up on state yelling "No one rocks like the people of (current city name) People eat it up.

God forbid you stick up for Kraft or have a different view because the dislikes will rain down. I know it is the offseason and its slow but I this board has been rough the past week.

We are better than this and I cannot wait for the season to start so we can watch this franchise work toward getting ring #5.
Stick up for Kraft and you are labeled a Jets/Dolphins troll.. I truly believe the people trashing Kraft never heard of Tony Eason..

It's like parents who don't want to admit Little Johnny may have gotten in trouble at school. I say "may." There are prob 3-4 people who know what happened. And, none of them are posters or Ted Wells.

I think most people acknowledge that it's possible that the Pats broke the rules. What we also acknowledge is that the Wells Report didn't even come close to demonstrating that they probably broke the rules. If you're going to start throwing out 4 game suspensions and the largest punishment ever given to a team, you need more than a couple dumb texts between idiot friends. Especially when the actual ball pressure indicates that nothing illegal occurred.

While I find it hard to argue against the possibility that the Pats broke the rules, how did they do it in a way that by halftime the ball pressure conformed to the Ideal Gas Law?
That's the really devious part. They deflated balls in a way that you can't tell air has been taken out of them. They should double the suspension for that.

I feel that he should be treated at this time with the same respect he treated Brady and the New England Pats fans. I have no wish for him to die just transfer ownership to Jonathan who I have heard is not enchanted with being shafted by Goodell repeatedly. Then Kraft can have more time to spend chasing celebrities and maybe producing films starring his "actress/dancer" girlfriend.

I've let this week run its course so people could vent and am pondering moving these discussions out and restricting discussion - unless a major headline breaks - to one thread. I agree it's dominated the forum and have been pondering solutions. But I'm not making a "football subforum" because the main topic of this forum is football, while this is a secondary - albeit a major one right now until it's resolved - topic at this moment. So if nothing else, these would be moved back into that other forum.

But I agree, the list is a little ridiculous at this point so I do plan on doing a little house cleaning over the next day or so.

I was as pissed of at Kraft as anyone but the vitriol sent his way has gone way over the top and out of bounds imo. I agree with everyone who feels he threw the team and fans under the bus and I agree that it is time for him to step aside and make Johnathon team president, what I take issue with is the extremely vile comments directed at him. He made a really bad decision IMO and it will seriously damage his legacy with Patriot fans and ultimately that should a steep enough price for him to pay, he will find it hard to come by so much as a muted cheer in his own stadium for a long time to come, and while I feel he brought it on himself I also think that this has the potential to cause a serious rift between the team and the fans, and by team I mean the players, as their relationship with Kraft is personal and I think overtly turning on him at Gillette will disgust the players and damage the player/fan relationship. Right now is obviously too soon but at some point prior to the beginning of the season fans are going to have to regain their composure and get to a point where they can at least coexist with Robert Kraft without turning malicious towards him. And given all he has done for this franchise and it's fans I think that's a reasonable expectation.

There is still 3 1/2 months until the season begins and possibly more until Brady suits up, although I think he will be on the field week one, but when the time comes for the banner to be raised I really hope Patriot fans will have the decency to treat Kraft politely at a minimum. I think that the Patriots need to be aware of the situation and keep Kraft in the owners box and away from the on field ceremony, but they should use that ceremony to get the fans completely behind this team for a season long f.ck you to the entire NFL.

My younger brother was a hard core Patriot fan and he had a saying "there's a thousand ways to say f.ck you...." But I'll settle for 31 and another Lombardi.

So fans should also adopt the "Thank you sir! May I have another?" submissive "Kick Me! AGAIN" posture like Kraft?

It worked so well for him so why don't we just quit like Kraft.

Then the players can realize that simply quitting under adversity is the new acceptable Patriot Way.

If the people bemoaning the lack of football discussion instead of whining would start a football thread like the excellent Randy Moss thread...

and yes it's difficult to do because this is the off season

Hey just think...everyone who thinks Baghdad Bob is the bees knees can enjoy themselves in his end zone luxury lounge for $1500 a season starting next season with no Brady...enjoy feeding the monster, lemmings
..

I can understand your point concerning Kraft but think how he is treated by the fans will rely on whether Brady is there when the banner is raised and whether Goodell is present in the owners box then. As for a rift between the team and the fans I think you are greatly mistaken. Throwing the leader of the team under bus does not foster a stronger tie between the owner and team. I would not be surprised if team who are union members also reflect the fans disgust at the owner.

State of the messageboard. Oh really
