What is the coach thinking/feeling at this point? And what are his options?

I can see how Belichick would have taken the gut punch that was Cameragate punishment, and tarnishing of his football legacy, for the team. For the next few years, he coached at a disadvantage, having lost an equal opportunity at accumulating talent as his competition, plus deal with a distraction that no other team had to deal with.

Here we are again, even more ridiculous, and again, he's being asked to coach at a disadvantage. This time, it is much larger, because in addition to being handicapped in talent acquisition, it is about Brady.

Could he be having similar feelings about Kraft that we are here? About the NFL in general? How might he react?

As much as we all think we know about BB, we really do not know all that much.. we do know that he has a tremendous work ethic and currently this team has a lot of different moving parts..

Someone compared this team to a disassembled Ferrari in the driveway, he is figuring out all this fits together..

But we will never know what he thinks about this, unless he writes a book after he is done.... he might welcome the challenge.

I think BB is thinking to imself. OMG, thank you NFL! I am going to go on a FU tour to end all FU tours and we are gonna rip you apart!!!

Ignore the noise, It is what it is, On to Buffalo.

Since this is clearly a speculation thread and none of us will ever really know unless he writes a tell-all someday, I guess I'll rub my last two brain cells together and take a guess.

My guess is he is angry and disappointed in the owner. I suspect he had this exact feeling before when Spygate went down. I doubt he's entertaining thoughts of moving on because the time it would take to start building a franchise in his image from the ground up again is probably longer than the time he realistically expects to keep coaching. With that in mind, I suspect he's angry and also is, as has been said, "moving on to Buffalo." Unless he plans on retiring I'm not convinced there's much for him to do.

I bet he's beside himself with how handicapped he now is without a first round pick next year.

Buffalo is week 2 so that would be really strange

My mistake..the good news is the Coach won't knows where he and the team are going. He's made fewer mistakes in 15 years than I do in fifteen minutes. As for me, back onto Mars....:)

Yup, agreed.

OTAs start this week. I'm not sure whether BB has a scheduled press conference, but I assume he'll decline to answer any Cowardgate questions anyway.

That book would be on the NY Times Bestsellers list for 7 years in New England.

BB has wisely kept his opinions to himself
Would KILL to read his post football book

It's would be a best seller for sure.

Or would he still be quiet on a lot of things even in retirement?
