Spoke to Robert Kraft today. The @Patriots owner said he won't challenge the NFL over penalties & hopes that may somehow benefit Tom Brady.

7:28 PM - 23 May 2015
So now when the NFL eliminates the penalty WHICH THEY WOULD HAVE ANYWAY TO AVOID BEING DESTROYED IN COURT everyone can say it's because Kraft made a deal and Brady's guilty. EVEN THOUGH HE WOULDVE WON ON HIS OWN MERITS.

JUST STFU KRAFT

Shut up Bob. Shut up and let the NFLPA destroy the NFL as much as it can. Though he'd probably oppose it.

Other owners told Kraft that Brady's going to destroy our CBA, so cut a deal to save our billions and say this so that it looks like you brokered a deal and not that Brady was innocent. STFU.

I'm glad Bob doesn't have a Twitter account.

First news from Kraft that he even supports Brady in this sham #GlassHalfFull

Unfair. The Patriots were looking strong in their Brady support, with the anti-Wells website and the Brady back avatars, and Kraft had to approve of that.

I should have worded it better. I meant first news he's backed Brady since rolling over last week. I hope there's no tension there.

I think I may have given Bob too much credit. I figured he was being a selfish greedy as.shole. Maybe he's just fuc.king stupid?

come on man. you don't become a billionaire by being stupid.

Never thought I'd offer him the same advice I did a million times to Jerry Jones

What Kraft has done, is that he has helped his team's fans understand who he really is. From role model to
roll over in a New York minute. You should have stayed chilled, Bob, you're an embarrassment....

just curious - aren't jews known for being very stubborn? i really can't relate because i don't personally know many jewish people.

i'm bringing this up because it seems like robert kraft is a very stubborn man. maybe his upbringing has alot to do with it.

I'll bet this was never brought up about Kraft a couple of weeks ago. Just when he falls from grace. ;)

I'm generally an advocate for keeping your mouth shut unless you have an incredibly useful announcement to make. This is one of those times Mr. Kraft, rather than worrying about his standing, should have kept his mouth shut.

I imagine the fan backlash is starting to reach him through the grapevine.

I get why people are angry. BK's comments were probably platitudes. However, his words are great news.
Consider the ramifications: Brady is in the process of taking the league to task, probably to court. A member of the league, Kraft, just said he hopes Brady wins. Regardless if they were genuine this is a good thing.
And on the outside chance Kraft is actually fully in Brady's corner, who knows what kind of helpful 'slip of the tongue' could be sent Brady's way by other means.

Put another way, would you be happier if Kraft said "I have no comment on Brady's appeal" or "I am in favor of the league"?

I suspect Jewish people likely don't want to know you, either.

Let's just say that after talking to Tom, Roger says Tom really wasn't guilty of anything, and takes away the suspension. There are still draft picks, fines, and the whole country beyond NE calling the Patriots cheaters. The Clots couldn't beat the Pats on the field, worked a sting with Kensil et al, and destroyed our team's reputation. The Pats didn't do anything but kick ass on the field. The fix being in makes things rotten on Park Avenue and Foxborough, and does nothing to clear the name. Kraft has miserably failed in protecting his brand. I think if it ever goes to court, Brady is going to kick ass and take no prisoners, and the NFL doesn't want any of that. The team has taken a lot of **** for nothing, least Kraft could do is actually defend his team and brand.
