Mediots think the NFL is holding something back.

I know a certain 2 dooshbags on from 2-6 that really really really hope the NFL has "the goods" on Brady AND Belichick....

Haven't read the full report, but for those who have: Is there anything in there indicating that Wells et al actually asked McNally/Jastrzemski directly if they deflated the balls after the refs approved them, and if so was it under orders from Brady or anyone else?

So the NFL supposedly held back evidence that would of made the Wells report and actual report and not a fairy tale? And now they will use it? I do believe this is a Pats haters dream scenario, but more probable than not a complete fabrication!

The funny part is that the medidiots are convinced Brady won't move forward out of fear that his phone will be subject to discovery.

The truth is that Brady can't wait to go to court because then Goodell, Wells, Kensil ect will also be subject to the discovery process. If there was the sting that IMO happened, it explains the need for Wells to ignore the leaks actions of Park Ave and to fabricate the 'evidence' to 'get' Brady. Otherwise if Brady did nothing we are left with Goodell's Lieutenants framing an innocent Brady and that could doom Goodell, this is about Goodell's survival Brady is just collateral damage ( I laugh when people ask WHY would the league want to find Brady guilty, Goodell has no choice it's either Brady or Rog).

I like Dale Arnold's theory that Goodell wants this to go to court. Then he can tell the 31 teams he tried, and Kraft gets what he wanted with no hard feelings because Kraft is Kraft.

I think this basically comes down to people realizing that what the league actually has on Brady/the Pats, aka what's in the Wells Report, is a bunch of BS. Rather than this indicating the Pariots' innocence, the assumption immediately becomes "there must be more evidence that's been covered up". We saw the same exact leap of stupidity re: Spygate, so it's really surprising.

Are these theories coming from the same mediots who thought the Wells report was ironclad proof? Why would they need to speculate that there was more evidence if Wells did a great job in the first place?

The "quid pro quo" was that Goodell screws up and it ends in court. The more I think about it the more I believe the Batman Gambit theory. (The NFLPA is the joker whose actions he predicted.)

Please people, for the love of God, get that asterisk in there where it belongs... NFL*

My personal campaign...

Anyway, agree they're not holding anything back that could damage Brady. I wonder what the hell they're holding over Kraft - not really thinking evidence, more thinking a threat to somehow exercise "eminent domain" on a franchise or something, pay him "fair market value," and remove him as an owner.

Not that there's any bylaw to my knowledge that they can do that. But it's not like that's ever stopped Goodell before.

They think so because kraft caved so easily. Because they are arswipes and evil they cant imagine someone actually doing something just because he believes its the "right " thing to do ......for the NFL ie. Screw his team .

The only things the NFL are holding back are anything that favors the Pats. Like the text "deflate and give them your jkt" which was conveniently left out of the Wells report.

It was in the Wells report. It was actually one of the two texts in regards to the issue of "the deflator, or deflating." The problem with both of those examples is that we don't know what context they represent, and Wells made that decision for everyone by assuming the worst.

It's funny the backwards thinking of it all. "Goodell has the REAL evidence ready for the appeal". Um, wouldn't the REAL evidence have been put into the original report? A prosecutor doesn't hold a murder weapon for the appeal process, they frame their whole case around it.

God people are stupid. It boggles the mind. I guess that's what happens when you're taken over by blind hate and/or jealousy.

Goodell prematurely ejaculates at the mere thought of power. If the NFL had something on Brady, rest assured, Goodell would be swinging from the rafters in a bath house with Woody Johnson and Jim Irsay. Mortensen would be tweeting 11/12, Kravitz would be performing his usual fluffer activities for everyone attached to the Colts and Manish Mehta would oiling up Mevi$.

It's not blind hate and jealousy anymore.

Its just amazing how all of this happened.

I am driving my wife nuts over all of this.

I am so lost in the absolute studipity of this.

I hate it.

I've heard this theory more than few times that the NFL has something on Brady and will dare him to continue fighting this and take it took court after the appeal.

Given the leaks and the weak evidence they have that Brady knew why the hell would anyone think something is being held back?

Then I realize the mediots don't think the NFL has something they HOPE the NFL is holding something back because they know in their mind that what the NFL has isn't strong enough for a court to uphold the suspension and that being non-cooperative (even though the NFL doesn't have power to take a personal phone) is a fine at best for a guy in 15 years that has had zero problems and been one of THE faces of the league.

Consider the history of media mistakes. Now give me one example where a majority of them fell on their swords with loudly spoken contrition? Sure, maybe one example exists but it absolutely is not the norm. When the media grabs hold of a story and makes a declaration of guilt/decision, they will bite, scratch, fight hard not to have to admit they were wrong. Even in the face of being shown to be appallingly wrong (for example Duke Rape), they tried(even lied) hard to keep their position as the right one, then just forgot it and moved on to the new story/outrage/falsehood. Just is what it is....

There's two issues here:

(1) A suit to have his suspension overturned. He would not necessarily have to turn over his phone in such a suit, since it might not come up.

(2) A defamation suit. Here he probably would have to turn over his phone, since truth is an absolute defense against defamation.

I don't think #2 is correct. You can't go fishing further to exonerate yourself from defamation - it would have to be based on using the information you had at hand at the time you made the claims.

No. I haven't seen anything as appropriate or specific suggested from Ted Wells himself. That lack of evidence tells me that they simply didn't include that information, in an attempt to suit their agenda.

Either way, there's not a shred of evidence that suggests that anyone deflated any footballs after they had been approved by refs, OR any evidence that anything remotely shady occurred during Patriot home games when JM and JJ actually had access to the balls
. The two examples that Wells used were:

1. The "deflator" text from McNally, which was from May 2014. Obviously, no NFL rules were being broken during off-season mini camp or OTAs.

2. The second "incriminating text," which was from the AWAY game at the end of November in Green Bay, where McNally had just seen JJ on television both holding and wearing one of those long head to toe football jackets. That was the "deflate and give someone that jkt" text message.

This lack of evidence tells me that they simply didn't have anything more to try and pin on them, or else they'd have surely included it in the report.

Basically, the report proved the Pats innocence.

It's funny, but whenever I run into one of those "they must have done something wrong" fools (they are around here) the only question I ask them is what did the Pats do wrong? They whimper out loud something about text messages and deflating footballs (they can't give specifics because there aren't any) and I then ask them what text messages? They can't tell me that either. It's fun to watch them walk away.

Fans around the league are going to be shocked when it is overturned and we'll be like " told you so"...Provided he doesn't turtle like ownership....which I don't see happening.....

I don't have much faith in the system.

It should make Brady want it more next year though. What little chance of that happening there was, I'm sure is gone now. How did he say it last time? There is no other game that he'd want more than this one. That was, until SB 50 came along.

Go Tommy LomBrady. Beat them all again.
