Anyone know why Tom's camp has been so silent during this whole thing? I mean, not even any statements like "Mr. Brady denies..." We've seen his endorsement ratings plummet, and I can't help but think that if his camp had been even a tiny bit vocal, they probably wouldn't drop that much. I mean, we have Tom's stance based on his press conference and pre-Wells report interviews and we have Don Yee's interviews as well, but I still think they have been very quiet.
Roger Goodell says he wants to talk to Brady directly, and then silence from Brady's camp. Clearly his reasons for holding back on giving his phone to the NFL has not been articulated enough. Even if these issues have been addressed, they are buried in footnotes and blurbs.
I get it...maybe they don't want to get him in the mud and dignify some of the garbage out there, or maybe they realize he will just need to take his punches now, maybe to come back firing with cannons when the timing is right...maybe...I dont know. I just know that right now, he is losing in a landslide in the battle of public opinion and I don't even know that an ultimate reversal of his suspension will undo a lot of this damage.
I'm not advocating that he shove his way to the podium and shout his innocence to the masses, but I do wonder why there is so little activity from his camp in their efforts to remind everyone that this is the great, irreproachable Tom Brady.
