Momentum shift? "National Deflategate focus beginning to shift to Roger Goodell, NFL"

The general public (and NFL fans) hating Go0dell is meaningless unless it leads to his firing or resignation and the restoration of the Patriots' draft picks by the next commissioner.

The highlighted stories show exactly what is wrong with what Bob did. The whole country thinks they're guilty and they always will.

The draft picks are gone and Brady is going to hear about this non-stop by voters when it's his turn to get inducted (on the first ballot). Sorry. Not buying it.

They can ***** and moan all they want, but there is no way in hell anyone voting would prevent Brady from getting into the HOF. Regardless of all this crap, he won't be denied. Anyone who thinks his chances of getting in on the first ballot are in danger is being foolish.

Holy ****. Five articles. "Goodell confirms why Brady was right not to share texts"

SIX ARTICLES! "Why the Patriots are still the team to beat in the AFC."

WTF happened while I was out today?!

You do know that Borges has a HOF vote, right?????

All of my friends are wondering what the hell is going on. None of them are Pats fans. We're older 50's and not from this politically correct generation. And police state we've become.

You do know that Borges has a HOF vote, right?????
For all his petulant commentary and downright contempt for BB I would still bet $100 bill that even Borges would vote immediately to put Brady in the HOF. I know that all of this crap seems like a big deal, but when it is time for Brady to be voted in, he'll go in overwhelmingly just on the resume he has now.

Seriously, like anyone on this forum even doubts that for a second. TB12 is the greatest QB to ever play in the NFL and now he should have an even bigger chip than he has ever had in his career. Look the phuck out.

SEVEN ARTICLES: "
How The Wells Report's Scientific Data Regarding PSI Aids The Patriots (Video)"

Seriously, what the **** is going on? It's like I'm not living in the bizzaro universe anymore.

Go to yahoo.com. It's like all favorable Patriots ****.
The NFL's attempt to **** the Patriots is inconceivably stupid that even Blind Freddy can see the conspiracy theory. It was only a matter of time when people with an IQ above 70 started connecting dots and seeing the hatchet job for what it is.

You do know that Borges has a HOF vote, right?????

That is not right.
Another day, another cheap shot.
Oh yeah, by the way, somebody told once me that Belichick doesn't believe Brady.

Hey Ron, some, err, sources have informed me of some pretty darn strange tales regarding
you and fuzzy little Farm Animals?
We will be needing that cell phone, and your computers.

Hope some guy asks Bill Nye about the Science again.
His remarks and shtick got a lot of coverage.
Cutesy vid.

Best part about this, at the end Nye says "Go Seahawks".

Yahoo linked piece from Pats16NO above is fun. Was not aware of this fellow.
Added him to my twitter feed.

Let's be honest - if you had a choice between rigging an outcome or playing it straight and potentially being embarrassed, you'd rig it too

"Goodell hasn't said if he'll recuse himself" is funny. I have a better chance of starting at PG for the Cavs tonight than Goodell recusal

Roger Goodell confirmed why Tom Brady was right to not share texts
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...y-was-right-to-not-share-texts-134448265.html

...All NFL players should raise an eyebrow about this.
There's nothing I can find in the collective bargaining agreement saying a player has to turn over private correspondence to the NFL.

So now we see Brady's motivation. One part of his refusal is the NFLPA precedent, which his agent Don Yee has said before. The other is that the NFL has lost its freaking mind as it tries to play FBI. The league is drunk off its own imagined power over the players, and feels bolder with every collective-bargaining win over the union. Even as Goodell spoke, it's pretty obvious that in Brady's appeal that either he gives in to the NFL's wishes to see his texts or else. If you're an NFL player, especially a prominent one like Brady, this has to end somewhere.
Not to mention that Brady's decision to not share texts was vindicated when Wells made the very unprofessional decision to use Jastremski's texts about having Brady sign a football when he passed 50,000 career yards in the report. Those texts had absolutely, positively no bearing on the report ... other than to embarrass Jastremski. Ask Richie Incognito and Jonathan Martin too if they'd share all their texts again, after Wells' report on the Miami Dolphins bullying scandal revealed some that were quite embarrassing and had little to do with the case. Seeing all of that, I doubt Brady has any regret about not sharing his text messages or emails with Wells.

Goodell told us what we needed to know on Wednesday. The NFL has an explicit expectation that its employees turn over personal communications when asked, or the petty league has no problem suspending them and costing them millions of dollars and their reputation. And now we can see why Brady was correct to refuse.

I agree with the OP. The casual fan is tired of this crap being shoved down our throats. While majority of non pats fans think Brady is guilty from what ive heard they dont care. I live outside DC so there arent many Pats fans around here. Many dont care about this scandal. And literally everyone ive spoken to hates HATES HATES Goodell.
Think what it would do for Brady's popularity if he took down Goodell. Wishful thinking....sigh....

Maybe Borges will die of a heart attack or something by the time Brady's vote comes up.
When I see that guy he looks like he's decomposing before our very eyes on television, so that wouldn't surprise me.
