http://www.washingtonpost.com/sport...b2d2be-f8b1-11e4-9ef4-1bb7ce3b3fb7_story.htmlthe shadiest dealings in this mess didn’t happen in Foxboro. They happened on Park Avenue.
http://www.footballbyfootball.com/column/brady-appeal-holding-goodell-to-the-personal-conduct-policySo Brady gets a four-game suspension for undermining “the public confidence” in the NFL over an esoteric and unproven matter of air, and his team is stripped of draft choices and $1 million. I see. And what is Roger Goodell’s punishment for turning the entire moral underpinning of the league into sand? The NFL is so desperate to look like a rock of integrity after a year of truly damaging scandals that it has ginned up a case out of literally . . . nothing.
the NFL owners will be forced to recognize that their current leader is still the same doofus that Paul Tagliabue rebuked as "selective, ad hoc, or inconsistent" in vacating much of Goodell's punishments on Bountygate. Nothing has changed. And this round qualifies as a repeat offense by my count. Pretty sure there's a provision in there for the harshness with how repeat offenders are handled as well...
Brady is the reason why I think Wells never looked at the League. If Wells ever found evidence that there was a sting or proof of a specific person in the League leaked the 2 PSI story or any other damning story, he would be delivering Brady a slam dunk defamation case on a silver platter. If Brady can prove a sting operation and/or that the League leaked damaging false information to blow this story out of proportion (the 2 PSI Mort report or Kelly Naqi's report), that is all he needs to prove malicious intent which is the barrier for a famous person to bring a defamation suit.
Curran, Jenkins, Chatham: The proud, the few. Kraft wants to end it. But those nagging facts....

I'm disappointed Reiss is not raising questions and poking the finger in the wound.
