if Brady did do it; would you care?

I think I'd still only really be upset about Kraft whipping the fan base up into a frenzy only to fold on us.

To me, even if a smoking gun emerged that Brady did it Id just feel like it was one of those things you deny, because it's small. Like really who cares about the ball pressure? But then this all happened, and now he's past the point of no return.

Just a random thought I had since now there's speculation that bill didn't buy bradys story.

Me? Yes, I would care...but only to a certain extent. I think it's pretty clear that professional athlete's are always looking for an edge, this would be another case of that. But it would be pretty underhanded to ask an equipment guy to deflate footballs after they were set by refs, it's akin to corking bats or using goalie pads that are too big: not the end of the world, but definitely bad. Additionally, his actions after the fact--deny deny deny--would rub me the wrong way...if you're caught you're caught, admit your mistake, apologize, take your medicine and move on.

Thankfully he didn't do it, so this is all moot :)

So when Brady is ultimately proven innocent, will the NFL drop the penalties against the Patriots?

I would not care about what he did to the footballs. They did not give him any advantage by any means.

But I would care that he had to lie to us about all of this for all this time.

OMG, I would be devastated. That would mean the law of physics were suspended for at least a few hours.
I would no longer be able to sleep, afraid that it would happen again, gravity would be negated and I would float away only to wake up in the clouds.

Isn't there enough anti-Patriot crap floating around out there that you could keep your imagination away from making up guilt that doesn't exist, or at least not share it?

I would be pissed.

But...

he's still my quarterback.

It was just a thought.

My bad

Kraft folded because his standing in the league is more important to him than the team. Belichick not believing Brady is a fabrication of the lying Belichick hating plagerist borges.

I wouldn't care one bit if they showed me a video of Brady deflating the balls himself while holding a pinky to his mouth like Dr. Evil

I think this thread perfectly illustrates how the rich, handsome and famous athletes can do no wrong in the eyes of their fans.

If he did it (and I have no reason from the Wells Report to think that he did) I would be very angry for him lying to the owner, coach and fans about something that put us all through too much unproductive crap for the past 4 months and would be a stain on the accomplishments of this great dynasty.

Once again - - for those who may have trouble with reading comprehension - - from all the evidence and report, I do not think Brady is guilty in the least.

But the OP's post saying, in that instance, he would let Brady off the hook and only blame Kraft is telling.

The responses in this thread perfectly illustrate where the word "fan" comes from (and that school may have let out a bit early for Memorial day Weekend).

People who blindly follow idols have no credibility. I respect Tom Brady for what he has done. But no human being deserves a blank check.

The other side of it is that a week ago no one would have even mentioned Kraft.
Actions are accountable.
I think where you go wrong is that I don't think the best means to insult someone's intelligence or character is to see them responding to a hypothetical about someone they believe is innocent by ripping someone they believe just exercised an egregious lack of character.

If Brady were guilty I'd be raging until the penalty was reduced rather than abated. I'd hate Brady didn't come clean sooner, but it wouldn't bother me nearly as much as what Kraft has done. It's still just PSI. I keep getting madder every day when I remember that. Seriously, those balls weren't flat or anything. It's PSI.

If it happened in the past it's not punishable and is irrelevant, and that's the case with the texts too. But the balls at the AFCG were only 1.1 PSI below the logo gauge readings. They have video of MCNally. I feel strongly like those balls weren't tampered with. That means anything else is irrelevant. Those texts are as relevant as comments by Aaron Rodgers , or David Carr, or Jerry Rice for that matter. the past is the past.

We shouldn't even be talking about texts he unless they directly relate to the AFCCG because that's the only time balls were ever measured.

You're first and biggest mistake was actually considering the "speculation" posted by Ron Borges. Seriously?

I'm struggling to find an analogy that will work, but to me, Rodgers and brady(if he did it) are guilty of speeding by like 1 mph.

So when asked if he broke the law, I mean technically yes. But I could see from his perspective how it's such a trivial thing that at the time, admitting to it might have been more damaging than just playing dumb.

Brady had no way of knowing at the time where all this was going. And now coming clean about it doesn't do anybody any good.

Again, these are just random thoughts, Devils advocate what if things.

I guess we need to ask what "did it" means. Just like we need to ask what the league believes was the amount the Pats deflated the balls by. Eg what is it that they are actually alleging.

Unfortunately, if Brady did ANYTHING, the public consensus will be (and already is) that he directed a locker room attended to sneak into a bathroom and take 2 PSI out of each ball.

And I'll add that if he did even the worst imaginable thing here, I'd say its not a big deal.

I would not care because I just don't think it makes much of a difference (like the arbitrary placement of a camera). Brady played lights out in the second half of the AFFCG and the majority Super Bowl with properly inflated balls based on those frivolous numbers in the rule book...

Now, if it were something like PED's or domestic violence, that is something that I would be concerned about.

Lol like Ive said, these are just random musings while I stare at the wall at work.

Do you not know what hypothetical means?
