"Over? Was it Over when the Germans Bombed Pearl Harbor?"

This world is seriously lacking in good-natured fun. Drinking, dancing, sex and having a good time are now frowned upon.

In fact, I kinda notice here in the Army that all the youngins are much more conservative than my generation. Without getting into it, I think there is a dividing line in our culture; pre and post 9/11. I was overseas during that and came back to an angrier and less fun America.

But they know who's trending on Twitter and how to take a perfect selfie. China should just invade now and get it over with because these millennials will fold like a sweet pair of skinny jeans

Screw it... I'm building a web site. If anyone wants to help, send me a PM.

The analogies are uncanny,
Roger Goodell is Dean Wormer
Robert Kraft can't be anyone else but....Flounder of course.
Kensil is Neidermeyer. Who was eventually killed by his own troops in Vietnam.
Who else?

The funny thing is that people used to say the same thing about the young generation of the roaring twenties with all their fancy new gadgets that need electricity to work, their clothing, partying, lack of respect for authority, and so on.

I can't help it.

The Patriots spent the better part of a week getting me all worked up for a fight, and I can't just turn that off. So, if they won't fight, then maybe we should.

Perhaps we could start with a thorough web site that builds around the Wells Report in Context and adds information that the Patriots couldn't or wouldn't. Perhaps we move on to demonstrations in front of NFL Headquarters. We could start a social media campaign to get the league to answer uncomfortable Deflategate questions... for instance, get them to admit that they don't care about air pressure by asking them how the Pats ended up having to play with football's at 16 psi.

I'm not happy with Kraft's decision, but I'd rather be a part of something like this than quit watching the Pats for good.

Thoughts?

It's a lost cause man, move on.

It wasn't over when the Japanese bombed pearl harbor, because that is when America decided to fight.

It's the exact opposite here. Kraft surrendered right away.

Brady = Boon

Gisele = Katy

Garoppolo = Pinto

Gronk = Bluto

Kraft's "niece" is Babs Jansen.............."Oh Greg .......I mean Oh Mr. Kraft" upload_2015-5-22_11-10-0.jpeg

If the league gets exposed for what they did will this new scandal be referred to as deflategategate?

Goodell:
We now consecrate the bond of obedience. Assume the position.

Kraft:
Thank you, sir. May I have another?

Was it over when Bob Kraft dropped his trousers?

UM, Ya it was.

That could be. I was in the Navy from 80-84. After that, I went to college. Kinda started with the Reagan Years too. Not hating on the Gipper. We got a tad more conservative then too. We had a hilarious spring event at PSU. Phi Psi 500. There were two parts of it. It was a parade/party in downtown State College.

1. There was a race where you ran from one bar to another and had to chug a 12oz beer. I believe there were 9 bars.

2. The fun part was like Mardi Gras. People dressed up in wacky outfits followed the same path as the racers. Of course, everyone lined the streets and was drinking too. The school changed it to a non-alcoholic event and it disappeared. It was totally Politically Incorrect. Which made it fun.

This has to be the funniest title of a thread I've seen in a long time

Animal House also has a video copy of Bob Kraft's Appeal.

I was in the military through 9/11. During the first PC wave of the 90's the civilian leadership of the military decided that military culture was not in line with the general sensibilities of the country (whether actual or perceived). The buzz words at that time were that we were moving from a "locker room" culture to a "business" or professional culture. The leadership fancied the military to start acting more like an office of people in suits made of camouflage.

Masculine culture with its drinking, cussing, and physical punishments was no longer acceptable and leaders that allowed it were removed. The idea being that that among other things the culture repelled female recruits and people working in highly technical fields. It's largely been an utter failure, as any attempt to redesign human nature is doomed to fail.

Same story as spygate. If you have nothing better to do, you can read my posts from those days when I said the fans were doing more to defend the team than the management of the team.

It's a nice idea, but a web page would be a waste of time because the only people who would visit it would be people who already supported the Pats. Don't waste your energy.
