I can't help it.

The Patriots spent the better part of a week getting me all worked up for a fight, and I can't just turn that off. So, if they won't fight, then maybe we should.

Perhaps we could start with a thorough web site that builds around the Wells Report in Context and adds information that the Patriots couldn't or wouldn't. Perhaps we move on to demonstrations in front of NFL Headquarters. We could start a social media campaign to get the league to answer uncomfortable Deflategate questions... for instance, get them to admit that they don't care about air pressure by asking them how the Pats ended up having to play with football's at 16 psi.

I'm not happy with Kraft's decision, but I'd rather be a part of something like this than quit watching the Pats for good.

Thoughts?

Still angry as all hell but I'm starting to realize something. When I look through a clear head, I realize this stems from jealousy and fear. Jealous fans wanting nothing more than to have the success the Patriots have had. Fear, because people fear what they don't understand. It's been that way since the dawn of man. It's unimaginable in this day and age the success the Patriots have had in the salary cap era. While most teams will win an occassional Super Bow, history suggests, sooner or later, your team will eventually fall and if your lucky, rise again to glory 3-5 years later. No such thing with the Pats. Fans are sick of us. Everyone is sick of us.

Love the idea...just to clarify though... the Germans didn't bomb Pearl Harbor. The Japanese did

I didn't even get the reference and I assumed it was intentional...

Realistically none of that is going to move the needle. Its painfully clear that Goodell and league office is comfortable straight out lying, like when Curran asked him about investigating the leaks and him answering that it was addressed in the Wells report. No such thing was done. Further the majority of the media doesn't care to take up the torch for the Patriots since the vast majority of their reader/viewership hate the team. The narrative is impossible to change at this point unless either 1) some glaring piece of evidence comes out that this was a frame job, 2) somebody sues and a judge or arbitrator says that the NFL had no evidence.

So unless you can hire someone to hack into the league computers and leak compromising emails between Grigson and Kensil then there is little that can be done. That is what was frustrating about Kraft giving up. He could actually force an investigation if he so chose. We still do have Brady though.

A website would be alright for sure.

Honestly, though, I wish we had grounds for a class action against the league given we've been purchasing gear in good faith the league is fairly run when in reality the league intentionally soiled our reputation preventing us from be able to wear said gear in public.

Or something of that nature. I'm even past the point that I care that it smacks a touch as frivolous. I just want SOMEONE to come up with a reasonable recourse for fans to finally stick it to the league in court if the darn team won't.

You know, this is the third Animal House reference to Deflategate in the last 24 hours.

I started it by comparing Kraft to Otter, a guy who just wants to join up with the popular in-crowd, and also so he can get on with a underage girl.

The Donaldson at ProJo compared Kraft to Chip Diller (the Kevin Bacon character) who took his undeserved punishment for the good of the fraternity.

And now we have a Bluto reference from Gator Mike. We are Bluto.

Things look bleak. But if the NFL wants a fight, we are going to gum up the works and throw a few haymakers, we are going to derail their parade float, we are going to detour them into a dead end of their own making and smash their trombones. Even if we get nothing out of it and there's only destruction in the end.

No one gets out alive.

what ?? when did Germans bomb the pearl harbor ?

It depresses me to think that there are actually people in the world who haven't seen "Animal House."

This world is seriously lacking in good-natured fun. Drinking, dancing, sex and having a good time are now frowned upon.

Lol people still think the Japanese did it. That's what the Germans want you to think o_O

I thought the Lithuanians bombed Pearl Harbor in 1510.

It's funny you should mention Animal House.

When announcing the punishment handed down against the Pats, the incident of Spygate from years ago was cited as a reason for a harsher penalty. That's a reason to punish the Pats?

Who knew?

It's almost as though the Patriots were on...

DOUBLE SECRET PROBATION!
