The media and my son....the BS....No person ever heard of the "choking game" that was completely made up by Rick Boone....(a huge piece of ****). You can find him here. My understanding after several front page articles full of lies, distorted "facts" and hugging my beyond man child son to comfort him is beyond anything I could make up.

I live in Stafford county Virginia, my son goes to Brooke Point High School. People know my son as the kid who played the "choking game"....which is a crock of ****. Below I detail the events. some of you who read this will think...why do I care. Well, we ***** about the media all the time on here and this my bulleted experience. I could write a book on how my son was ****ed by Stafford county.

This was one night of BS played on Fox 5 in DC. If you ever see this man tell him to **** off. He is a liar and a cheat. I give you the truth in the list down below. My son is the "choker" "abuser" and the 250 pound student. If you want more details and paper stories google it. The end of the day my bullets are the honest truth. And I hope you watch, google and read the stories about my son that are outright lies.

Facts of 10/23/2014:

1. No person at Brooke Point High School had ever heard of the choking game.

2. A 250 pound student after practice (not a varsity football game) was released from a choke hold, and then decided to go “grab his buddy” and put him in a choke hold.

3. The 250 pound student put his friend in what he thought was an innocent game of “uncle”. Unfortunately, the victim of the choke hold, never had that chance.

4. The 250 pound student put his friend in what is called a blood choke. And his friend passed out in 4 seconds.

5. Once the student holding the choke hold realized his friend was not ok he tried to release his grip, but the student held in the choke hold had seized up, not allowing the release.

6. Once the initial tenseness had subsided the student performing the choke hold was able to release his grip on his friend.

7. Unfortunately the choked out student fell through his arms and hit his head off a locker, causing a mild concussion.

8. The student who initiated the incident was there when he woke up (10 seconds after the incident started)

9. Asked his friend since 1st grade if he was ok, and the “victim” stated I’m fine

10. A parent learned from their child of the locker room incident and contacted the “victim’s mother”

11. A bout an half an hour later the “victims” father went back to the school to get the details of the situation.

12. The next morning (Friday), the student “abuser” was called down to the office without his parents knowledge, and provided a true uncontested written account of his actions, that caused his friends concussion.

13. He was suspended for 10 days, with a recommendation for the remainder of the school year.

14. Without excuse he demanded that I his father bring him to his friends home so he could apologize in person. The apology was accepted.

15. At this point the 250lb kid is an apologetic football player

16. That does not matter to some parents or the administration

17. The “abuser” if you will based on the fox 5 news reports is a 16 year old honor student, and leader of his football team.

18. Parents went to the media to politicize their issues with the high school’s administration, particularly the principle.

19. I coach my child’s middle school football team, and after my son was released from the high school team I tried to ease his mind and keep him engaged with my middle school team.

20. The same parent that alerted the media about the incident, went to the principle of the middle school team and had my son removed from the sidelines.

21. Fast forward, we lost, the Stafford county school board and Superintendent are very weak people.

22. My son, an honor student, a child that refused to go on a trip to Orlando after all this drama and media attention so that he would still meet the requirements to stay in school if he were allowed to go back to regular high school….after he had already been there for two months while we appealed.

23. We lost with an understanding that the media ruled the day. The School board members could care not about the facts. Just public opinion.

24. A big deal was made in the local paper about potential charges being brought upon the “abuser”. Which were beyond absurd.

25. Our county Sheriff’s office informed the media that our son would not face charges for assult prior to informing our family attorney.

26. Fast forward three months, our son is enjoying high school life, has a car, a girlfriend, going to “alternative school” (at your own pace), and making $13 an hour working at my buddies gym.

27. The kid is making $300-400 a week training kids and working out.

28. He just finished today his JR year in high school.

29. The “abuser’s” English teacher called us (his parents) and could not say enough good things about the “abuser”, stated several times that what she read in the paper did not reflect the kid she met in her English class. What we didn’t know at the time is she is the Sherrifs wife.

30. We live in Stafford VA and that “abuser” will be driving by himself to Gardiner, ME. Knowing his parents have the upmost faith in him.

1. Rick Boone was lied to.

2. But he bought it

3. The “parents” he believed didn’t have a clue

4. Rick Boone did zero research, not hard to know a team’s schedule. The incident happened on a Thursday, after a practice. It was BPHS’s bye week. (not a whole of research needed.)

5. The “abuser” never threatened the victim. The father of the victim contacted Rick Boone and clearified that and Rick Boone chose the words of anonymous sources over the father of the victim.

6. Rick Boone is a total POS and encompasses the media as a whole today.

If you read this far, the point is this could be you or son. The media does'nt care about the truth.

My experience with education systems is that teachers and others employed in those systems are not above corruption or dishonesty either. I see the parallels with Brady's situation, and I'm sorry to hear you guys had to go through that.

My condolences on having to go through that crap. I've seen it first hand as well, when a friend was accused of assaulting one of his kids. He damned near lost them to the state because of the lies told by another neighbor who didn't like the fact that he wasn't "controlling his kids properly" and letting them "run all over", etc. The neighbor made up the story about the assault. Never happened.

Anyway, the kid's school sent a retraining order to him so he couldn't even come and pick up his kids after school, go to any games, etc. The DA prosecuting the guy knew fulll well the background of the rift between him and the neighbor, and how she had made similar accusations about the former owners of his house. The rest of the neighborhood was also suspicious of the guy, suddenly, because of his arrest.

Prior to the trial, the DA dropped the charges because the neighbor who called the cops admitted she made it up. BUT....... the damage was done. He is still suspected of "having done something" by a lot of parents in the school because of the rumor mill that went wild, and the local paper's unsubstantiated comments and innuendo regarding the case.

So now this guy, like Brady, and the Patriot, has an * next to his name, an arrest record, and will never be able to get his good name back, no matter what happens.

So yeah, I saw this great guy reduced to tears and become paranoid about the cops and the media because of a neighbor's lie, and I fully understand the frustrations you must be going through.

I wish you the best of luck going forward, and even more good wishes for your son.

Wow. Keep in mind that your son will be stronger for having dealt with this, and he already sounds like a hell of a kid. You should be a very proud father, and it sounds like you are a very good one.

One of the worst parts about this is there are real incidents of the choking game. I know a parent who lost their child to the "game". So when one of these false incidents gets blown out of proportion it's like a gold digger going after a fake rape charge. It hurts the real victims. People should educate their children about just how dangerous the real game is. It's not a joke.

My experience with education systems is that teachers and others employed in those systems are not above corruption or dishonesty either. I see the parallels with Brady's situation, and I'm sorry to hear you guys had to go through that.

They also gossip just as badly, if not worse, than the students.

I dropped my local paper 20 years ago after they burned me with misquotes, out-of-context remarks used to imply the exact opposite of what I was actually saying, and other transgressions against me and my friends.

I did an interview a few years ago with a major on-line mag - the title got me in hot water. I confronted the writer and asked him why he did that (the rest of the article was spot on). His answer: you know I need the clicks or I'll get fired.

I feel for you and your son. People love to throw stones at others, even for doing something they too did in their youth. It's sick.
