Just so we are clear with where I stand, (not that I think it matters too much), I am certainly not a "Kraft supporter."

I'm just simply not going to let this ridulousness take something away from me that I enjoy.

"Your team" is either a team of cheaters, or is led by an owner who thinks you're an idiot who'll put up with anything. Or both.

That's the reality of the situation.

Who ya rooting for next year?

Perspective:

According to Forbes Magazine, the Cowboys and Redskins are #1 and #3 in NFL franchise value, respectively. Both teams were recently penalized by the NFL for violation of a non-existent rule. Both teams appealed. The NFL is currently setting records with its income and profit levels.

So, from that, we all know that the Patriots appealing was not bloody likely to torpedo the NFL. We also know, since Jerry Jones, for example, is such a prominent owner, that appealing penalties is not some form of "full 32 death sentence".

Also, not only did the Chargers appeal a penalty, they won their appeal. And the NFL is still rolling on.

So, there's a little perspective.

Tom Brady. Are you really going to be foolish enough to try going down this path?

I'll be rooting for the team he plays quarterback for next year. The Patriots.

It may be possible that something happened from McNally or JJ, but it was you yourself who has been pointing out the lack of evidence after a lot of investigating, so I'm not too worried about the cheating angle.

As far as who they are owned by, that hasn't changed for me in the past with other owners who probably didn't give a **** about us either, so I'm not seeing much difference there.

Actual measurements are more accurate than a range of where they could be. IGL can't duplicate the temperature, barometric pressure and wet weather conditions that night. The actual measurements showed the balls went down .4 Splain that one?

IGL gave a range of where a ball that started at 12.5psi would end up based on temperature change alone. The Patriots' balls fell solidly within that range, assuming that Andersen used the same gauge pregame that he explicitly said he used.

Not really sure what's left to discuss on that front. The only way you can arrive at the conclusion that you're arriving at requires, as a starting point, that you disregard Andersen's memory of which gauge he used. Of course, if you're going to disbelieve him on that, you also have to disbelieve his recollection of what the balls measured at pregame. And once you do that, there's again no case to be made that any tampering occurred.

I always thought differently of you. Seeing this....Well, this event is teaching many things.

Look at the recorded measurements made at halftime. Then, the ones taken after the game. They were marked down and you have an accurate starting point.

That might be the most unscientific way you could possibly arrive at the pregame ball measurements.

I'm not even sure the balls started out at 12.5 . ....But, it's pretty logical to figure that the drop would have been the same pre-game to halftime. As it was from halftime to post-game. More likely than a wider range given by a scientific law giving a possibility of where they will come in at.

No they didn't. You are mixed up with the .4 difference between the gauges I believe.
There are no actual measurements to use, none of the starting measurements were recorded.

Air was added at halftime and the balls were not measured again after, so you do not know the starting point. You also do not know how long after the game they were measured. IIRC one measured 13.9 so any guess at what they pumped them to it pointless.
