NFL Official: The league finally got those mother $$$$ers!!

I take you don't live in the area? Boston media doesn't work like that.

Only a handful in the Boston media have taken a non anti-Patriots view, which includes Tom Curran, Jeff Howe, Chris Price, Scott Zolak and Jerry Thorton

And 3 of them are considered "Patriots honks"

Hell you got douchebag felger crying about how the Pats and BB were exonerated in the report. He wants them to get punished because 8 years ago they had a camera in the wrong spot.
I live in Portland, Maine and I have an idea how it works. I believe it doesn't matter if the bigger story becomes how Goodell and/or his *****es conspired with other NFL teams to entrap the Patriots and cooked the report to smear them. Any media slut that is calling for a year suspension will quickly lick Brady's balls to get the big story. Isn't that how ALL media works these days.

It's time for Kraft and Belichick to go scorched earth on the rest of the league. Any dirt they have on other coaches, executives or league officials, leak it to TMZ. Anything that happens during a game that is not 100% within the rules, file a complaint with the league and then make transgression public.

Think back to Tomlin standing on the field to prevent a kick return TD or Carroll's decision to pass at the end of the SB. Belichick came to their defense, unprompted. Where are those guys, or any other coach, now?

Kraft has publicly supported Goodell consistently, even when it was unpopular to do so. How has that helped him or his team?

It will never happen, but what do they have to lose? You can talk about the big picture and "The good of the game," but no one else seems to care about that. If it ends up hurting the league, who cares? They were happy to start down this path, might as well help them get where they want to go.

The thing I've always liked about the Patriots is the way they've carried themselves with a quiet, classy dignity even through nonsense like this. I hate the thought of them resorting to lowering themselves to the level of their d-bag critics.

I'm so full of disgust right now toward the league and the legions of Pats-haters acting like they've won their own personal "superbowl" based on an obviously slanted, biased report by someone who is anything but "independent."

Really sorry state of affairs.

I really don't know what it is about people who just roll over and accept this sort of thing. Perhaps people are just overly conditioned to believe whatever a perceived authority figure, or a guy on TV, tells them is the truth?

This whole mess probably lets the fans of the other 31 teams blow off some steam. The league has been trying to build parity for 20 years and the Patriots have ruined like 15 years of that.

Gee, Obgod3, you rant and rave about someone giving you a disagree without an explanation, yet you can't do the same.. The fact that TV stations proved that the Colts were cheating and the NFL ignored it and you disagree speaks worlds about you.

The best revenge will be another winning season.

If we go at least 12-4, that will more than make up for this mess (other than Kraft's bizarre solo act).

It will really render moot the subject of how much of a role underinflated balls have in actually winning games. As in "we're still beating you, what else are you going to come up with?"

Most of all, it will mean more "weeping and gnashing of teeth" by Kensil, et al.

Something else will come up. It always does. We all thought that SB 49 was going to end all that talk of "haven't won since Spygate!" and here we are. Now it's going to be "haven't won since Deflategate!" And the owner of the team just accepted it without proof because he loves the group of 31 other billionaires more than his team or its fans.

So folks think that the Pats will have a winning season and playoff success given the fact that this league will not stop at outright making stuff up to derail the Pats juggxrnaught?
Especially now that our owner has indicated that no travesty will be even contended.

I'm not hopeful about our prospects. And not just because I have a chance making the 2015 53 as a CB.

The thing is- I think that the more "things" that come up, the more "accusations" that come up, the more it actually works in our favor, as far as the bigger picture is concerned, history-wise.

At what point are people going to start rolling their eyes? It's going to be either that we actually just were a great team, or the NFL come across like bumbling fools because "no matter what they did, we kept finding ways to cheat and win."

IF we truly were cheating in order to win, that means we only won because we were cheating, and since we've been "caught and disciplined," a mediocre or losing season should theoretically then follow.

That has yet to happen.

Freeman reports that one source told him that one NFL team executive yelled to another, “the league finally got those motherf—–s.”

Projecting isn't good for one's mental health. It explains alot.

What I find hilarious is that the COLTS, who have been fined for cheating by piping in crowd noise, became the "proxy" for other teams to chime in..

The Colts committed the worst sports crime any team could commit but the league simply looked the other c way. If the Patriots had lost Brady and deliberately tanked an entire season to make sure they got the top pick in the draft the league would have bannedthe Kraft's for life and disbanded the team. However since it's the football Colts with their c drug addict owner it was simply branded the campaign to Suck for Luck and engine got a good chuckle out of it.

The NFL is almost as corrupt as FIFA and that is one hell of a high bar to get up to.

See, THIS is why Kraft rolling over like a dog is so damaging. He didn't fight for his teams reputation during cameraplacementgate and it allowed the narrative that 'the Pats consistently skirt the rules' to live on and build. The bogus 'taping walkthroughs' accusations went away silently, with no real pushback from the Patriots to highlight how false the claims were.

So now we're here, with another bogus claim of cheating that's allowed to live on...this 'culture of cheating' continues to grow, despite absolutely no evidence beyond having a guy legally filming the other teams sideline (but in an illegal location). Every team in the NFL has a similar incident...Colts/Falcons and crowd noise, Chargers and stickum, Broncos and cap violations, etc etc. Yet these were allowed to live as 'WORST CHEATING EVER' so that stench will always be there.

For those who are supporting Kraft's decision to back down, this is why the rest of us are so pissed. When you let these accusations live, when you don't fight back for your teams reputation, you're allowing everyone to say 'that team ALWAYS cheats'...and then the next time something minor crops up you're presumed guilty because of the perception of cheating, period. It's ridiculous, but this is what happens.

If this is the case, and a few people happen to start talking, guess what Mr. Goddell has a PR nightmare on his hands. And, sorry Roger, you can't hide behind "I was not aware of this", remember, like you told us, if we didn't know, we SHOULD have known. So, in my opinion the same logic should apply to you as well. You are ultimately responsible for what your underlings do. If your Jet lackeys were pulling some shenanigans in a set up, it falls on YOU. Not only should the front office be completely cleansed of Jet flunkies, it needs to be MOVED out of NYC, to a city that does not have an NFL team. And on top of that, if that is the way it went down, a few people need to be escorted to a federal prison. In any other business if that sort of practice was going on, somebody's ass would be in an orange jump suit.

You're right. Cut me some slack, though. That was a whole 13 days ago when I believed Kraft actually had some pride and cared that his team to was being railroaded. ;)

Before or after BB retires?

Problem is Goodell just showed he CAN get away with it during the Rice investigation/appeal. Clearly people in the NFL offices saw the video from inside the elevator, but he denied his own knowledge, claimed he didn't ask basic questions about getting their hands on that tape and...they managed to quiet the pitchfork-wielding public. Largely because the networks and ESPN are in bed with the NFL so they're not gonna make waves.

With the Pats? Typhoon-level waves are fine with them, since 31 fanbases and most of their on-air 'talent' hate the Patriots, they don't need facts (hi, Chris Mortensen!) to pump a narrative. If Brady, his lawyers and the NFLPA push this to court it'll be buried on the Pats ESPN page and covered as basic news by ESPN and other networks. The damage has been done, and won't be undone barring some massive smoking gun on the NFL's side coming out during the proceedings.

Just like after cameraplacementgate: get ready for years of 'cheater' allegations, it's not going away any time soon and we have Kraft's spineless response (well, and ESPN and the NFL being more than happy to pump false stories) to thank for it.

This is so sad. What a travesty. Jealousy has made these people to do such underhanded things and for what? In the grand scheme it's only a game but to destroy a man's credibility and reputation is heartbreaking. Forget that he beats your team regularly, he is a man with a young family, kids who are very impressionable and could hear things about that Dad that no kid should or wants to hear.
Brady needs to sue them for his suspension to be lifted but more for the character assassination that is unfounded and baseless!

You're right, it's a double standard, it's unfair, and there is f*** all we can do about it.
