Kraft will get boo'd while hoisting a banner

I've never heard those allegations before. How exactly do you know all this?
??????????

What are you talking about? This isn't about Kraft. It's someone completely different and unless you know who I'm talking about, I don't understand your point.

My point is only that you can do good in your life and still be a ****.

EDIT: I re-read and I guess I can see how you can think I might be speaking about Kraft... I added a note... not Kraft at all.

Cannot and never will boo Mr. Kraft.. as much as I disagree with what he did, he is the man who brought this team from obscurity to greatness..

There is more to this than we will ever know...

I respectfully disagree with the not booing. I do however agree that he brought this team from obscurity to greatness but that doesn't absolve him of his poor decision yesterday unless of course it has a direct impact on Brady being completely cleared of all wrong doing short of that he deserves to be booed. Sometimes the agenda of 1 team does trump that of the other 31 because that 1 team was wrongly accused and villified by an NFL front office that is out of control. It is incumbent upon that one team to fight for the other 31 to be sure what happened to them never happens to another. Mr. Kraft cemented the legacy of this team, its HOF HC and its HOF QB forever as cheaters with his actions yesterday. The only good that can come out of this is Brady being completely cleared, short of that yesterday was an unmitigated disaster for the Patriot Organization as long as TB12 and BB are still playing here.

Booing or silence it won't matter to gutless bob, what does matter is MONEY. The only way to get his attention is not to spend any money on the patriots in any way. Unfortunately i think theres not enough rabid fans that would do that. This forum has around 5,000 members not all of whom think he did enough wrong by forever tainting the franchise, never mind the general public, thats more casual in support of the team. 5,000 or so fans is probably a drop in the bucket, and i think kraft will get away with this shameful capitulation.

Well, what more could there be?
That, maybe, just maybe, this was the price of getting Brady's suspension lifted entirely? If so we will "know" that eventually. That's the only thing that we reasonably can't know yet that could change my perspective at this point."

It didn't end well for Ned Stark and I doubt it ends well for Bob Kraft in this scenario.

For the first time in the history of any professional sports, a team hangs a Championship banner and gets booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooos from fans.

OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not the team. The coward owner.

Kraft suckups are reduced to the pathetic "We don't know what he knows" defense.
He just did more damage to the brand and the reputations of the HC and QB than can be imagined.

Ron Borges is of course, thrilled. Kraft HOF for this subjugation of the team.

I love that defense. Let's take that defense of Kraft and expand it to something on a much bigger, more destructive scale. Let's say we nuke Iraq to wipe out ISIS. Are these same people going to defend the president with something like this: "Well, he knows a lot more about the political landscape and what's going on behind the scenes than we do". Or something like this: "we simply don't know what he knows". Of course not. Such an argument is brain dead. So why apply that logic to any situation? Absolutely ridiculous.

And Kraft should get boo'ed and boo'ed loudly everytime he's shown on the jumbotron.

True story

I know this guy (I've known him all my life- Not Kraft). Wealthy and popular with a lot of people who first meet him. He's involved in a lot of charities and does a lot of good in the community. He's got awards for his charitable work. Handsome, well-spoken, and very generous with his wealth.

I also know that he verbally and physically abused his kids, wife, and has from time to time gone after his father and mother. He punched his 86 year old father in the face knocking him to the ground last time because his father dared to tell this guy to get the "F" out of his house for berating his mother for about an hour. His own son hears fingernails on a chalkboard every time his father speaks. This guy's been arrested for assault numerous times and because he's wealthy and well-known in the community, he's gotten off of the charges and his wife is an enabler.

So I ask you. Given all that he does for charity, is he a good guy?

See, the way I see it is that you can do a lot of good and still be a complete waste of life. That's just my opinion though. Lots of people think that guy is a saint.

Jerry Sandusky also did a lot of charitable work.

Something about Kraft always made me feel awkward during his public addresses. He always seemed like he had a bit too much to drink. And that video with his young girlfriend was as cringe worthy as any bad skit on SNL.

I will say this, he is a crafty businessman.

Always been about the money, hell even the stadium is about money vs a hostile playing field for the opponent.

I agree completely however I do think the opportunity to clear their name is still there if Brady takes the league to court and wins. Imo that would show they were railroaded and that Kraft simply lacked the balls to do the right thing and fight.

Even when Brady clears his name, the Patriots will still lack a first round pick next year. That is the real kick in the balls.

I can never boo him for what he has done for this franchise, we will never know the inner machinations and thought processes that took place in doing what he did.. there has to be some trust in what he did, even though I vehemently oppose it and know it is wrong..

There has to be more to this picture than we know.. even our esteemed founder of this forum, somewhat agrees..

Have not read and will not read what the pundits are speculating as to why he made this decision.. an "economic" boycott will not accomplish all that much, due to the amount of money invested.. people will follow, but probably not forgive easily right now..

I can be silent, but I cannot boo him... I will be at TC twice this year, as I have every year and will watch every minute of every Patriots game this season.

I didn't say a word about "booing." I just suggested the reasonable and a few unreasonable answers to the question you posed.

As for the "pundits," they don't have to "speculate." There is nothing left about which they feel they need to speculate. It's open and shut to them. No one outside of Patriots Nation believes anything other than that Kraft has admitted that the Patriots were guilty and wanted to avoid the embarrassment of losing an Appeal or Court case.

And, they have a point. If I try to make the argument to anyone outside of Patriots Nation that Kraft knew his team was innocent but didn't want to drag the League through an Appeal, I just get a big old  in response, like I'm some idiot for even thinking that to be possible. Sometimes I wonder if they might not be right.

As for the rest of your comments, I guess you're a better and more forgiving person than I am. Or maybe it's just that I live in NYC and have been defending him and the team to too many Jets and Giants fans. I feel that he kicked me in the teeth yesterday and I'm nowhere near being ready to get past that!

Enjoy the games.

I'm actually starting to change my mind on this, I think that rather than fans booing him the better response would be absolute silence. Don't acknowledge Kraftt and don't make a peep during the banner raising ceremony, save all the noise for the team and let it rip when they take the field

Everyone here that's giving Mr Kraft so much grief for his actions yesterday should take a step back and think about it.

Did you not hear Mr Kraft say that he "RELUCTANTLY accepted the league's punishment"?

That was a bold and courageous statement by Mr Kraft. He could have said that he gratefully accepted the punishment, or humbly accepted it, or even happily accepted it.

But Mr Kraft gave a big middle finger to the NFL and used the word "reluctantly"

I'm sure that Roger Goodell did not sleep well last night thinking about that

The banner is forever tainted now. so are all the rings.
Whether the Patriots broke the rules and cheated or not, this is now the worlds perception of us.

This is the sad legacy of Kraft's surrender.

If Kraft really was a Patriot, he'd now be Benedict Arnold.

Public opinion was set with the Mortensen lie. The lie still stands as fact to most people.
We need an equalizer leak. Something is going to come out.

When it does, Commish is free to say, "in light of the new info",
teams can soapbox it and talk about the unfairness, etc, for free.

Boom, penalties undone. This can happen anytime. The first pick lost is 2016.

This is not over.
The way it will be fought has changed. Kraft has taken this hit for now, taken the heat off of Goodell and the 31. Now, let's get the SOBs that propelled this thing. Because Goodell, the league is not harmed or threatened by this is the reason it could happen.

Florio is my best bet as the new leak source. He gets this point, keeps hammering it.
Again, on EEI this AM.

Nothing can be done about that, unfortunately, they will have find other ways to make up for it.

Astrologically speaking Krafty is a Gemini - Two faces - I'll leave it at that...

It's sad but he earned all the boos that he will get. I hope it burns him up inside and he regrets laying down for the rest of his life. He has plenty of money to pay the lawyers and the least he could have done was put in the appeal. Even if he had lost the appeal, he would still have respect. But he made no effort to goto the mat, and he was seen in cahoots with the commissioner and hugging the enemy, nope Bob Kraft deserves all the contempt that he is getting.

weird. He will say "fans of New England", and everyone will just boo him.
Forever more he will get boo'd in his own stadium. Wtf bob

Hope springs eternal and so I hope you are right...but, the line between "hopeful" and "delusional" can be a thin one and I'm afraid it is in this case.
