@MikeReiss: Patriots had free-agent CB Tarell Brown in for a visit today, per team source. 2nd time the club has had Brown in for a visit this offseason

CB Tarell Brown visited today!

I've been clamoring for him to be signed for a long time. It'd give them a caliber vet who could start outside.

Really? This guy is a piece of garbage who's just a cheap Krafty Bob typical replacement....replace Revis with Ras I Dowling? Sure, I'm, all in!!!!!!:mad:

BFD He doesn't replace the first round pick

He was solid during the alex smith seasons in SF, if they can get him for 1M will be fine.

Sign Brown he is a player he will give good Competition for the secondary.
Question is why wasn't he signed previously.

Brown: Used to be a solid #2 CB who was exposed with no pass rush in Oakland (as opposed to San Fran).
Fletcher: Used to be a solid #2 CB who was exposed with horrible safeties.

I hope we sign Brown, as the odds one of them rebounding to play across Butler seems decent.

Yeah, even McClain was decent at one point. It seems wise to bring in several guys who were solid at one point, and hope one of them can be solid again with a good pass rush and good safety play.

What's worse, a great #1 corner and a crappy #2 corner, or two average corners? Perhaps Butler can even exceed "average".

BFD. Another mediocre nonentity. Bring back Earthwind Moreland

<insert complaint>

But seriously if he's healthy bring him in to compete!
