1. I have plenty of theories on the WTF Kraft statement. Probably the least deluded way to put it is that he decided that dropping the appeal was best for him. That is all that we know. He claims his interests align with the team's and the fans'. This is an unproven and unprovable statement.

2. He's asking for trust, pursuant to (1). This does not look like a statement to trust. I am sure that if I'm still alive when he's in his dotage we'll get the truth in someone's memoir, but who has the time.

3. Notwithstanding (1) and (2), up until this point, I have been a fan of how Kraft ran the team. Big step backward from my POV, obviously you guys all totally hate him as of right now.

4. Notwithstanding (1-3), I am a fan for life of the NE Patriots. That would be very hard to change. Insofar as the Pats play in the NFL, I'll watch the NFL. You guys who are "done with the Pats" and "done with the NFL," no need to reply. This is a Patsfans site... you'd just be trolling.

5. Somebody actually said this was a worse day than the SB 42 loss in Glendale. Seriously?

6. I don't even want to speculate on whether Kraft "got anything," whether Goodell "had something" on Kraft, blah blah blah. You can hope all you want, but fuggit. Right now it is what it is. We're out another 1 and a 4 at the very least. Feh. And I am still a New England Patriots fan.

7. Anybody else going to stay with this team? Just curious.

I'm a fan of the Patriots. I just won't give Spineless Bob a dime of my money. After today, only a sucker would give him any of their money.

I was a fan of the Patriots, I'm not a fan of the Cheaters
If we can go back to the former, I'm still in.

I'm a patriot fan for life.

Have been since I was 9 and will be until Brady is long retired.

I love the team, the players, the coach, the game, all of it.

I hate NFL owners and their commissioner. I really am upset with the owner that had all my respect up until about 8 hours ago.

It really is that simple......unless something comes to light, I'm done with Kraft, I'll boo him and certainly tell him why, but I won't stop cheering for the New England Patriots.

Okay, see you guys on a Sawx board. I'm down here in VA, don't have mass hysteria down here... It's just another day. RI, they don't get my money now - unless you count ratings for televised games.

So you guys are seriously skipping the season opener? Really?

Frank, pretty much with you on kraft. I give him some credit for pursuing the hell out of BB when nobody had any idea why. I'm separating spine vs previous skill, with a dollop of wtf. Don't love the guy, I'll put it that way.

But Pats fan for life, with you on that.

I'll always look at this era, from the "point of emphasis" on, as the time when we had to beat the other team, the refs, AND the league.

I wouldn't go if someone gave me a ticket because he's not getting a dime from me for parking or beer or anything. Not....one......dime.

Been a season ticket holder for 21 years. I go for the team not the owner
Big difference from an owner and a fan
Kraft proved today what I always suspected of him
Owners bleed green, fans bleed their team colors
I will not penalize Belichick/ Brady because their owner is a chameleon
Go Pats Forever

I've been a solid Patriots fan since 1970. I didn't care much for Billy and Patrick Sullivan but I was a fan of the Patriots Football team.

Victor Kiam was a joke. But I still loved my team, the Patriots.

James Orthwien (or however you spell it) was a guy hoping to move my team to St. Louis, and I hated that. But I still loved my team, the Patriots.

Now Bob Kraft has disappointed me today, with his surrender. But I still love my team, the Patriots.

You can love the team but not like the owner. Some of you guys really need to find another team. I hear the Jets had a really good off season, their bandwagon still has seats, and YOU won't be called cheaters.

The Pats and the NFL has been a major outlet for me for many years. I watched in my youth, envious of the successful teams and hoping that someday my favorite team could be their equals.

We'll it finally happened and I saw the team that I followed not only reach those heights, they exceeded their accomplishments and became the greatest dynasty that I ever saw.

We all know the history though, envious forces in the league offices have been on a relentless quest to delegitimize the Pats accomplishments and not allow the team or fans to enjoy their accomplishments.

The Pats have been to six Superbowls starting in 1996 and in half of those we have been forced to contend with distractions in addition to the challenge from the opposing team.

We fans have fought the good fight for so long, and now like William Wallace by Robert the Bruce, we have been betrayed by a powerful force who we thought was a friend.

Now maybe something unforseen and fortuitous will come from Brady suing the league that will negate the damage and make us whole. But short of that I intend to start weaning myself away from following the Pats; I gave up on the rest of the NFL a few years ago.

It will be one of the toughest things that I've ever tried to do.
