Nobody here knows Kraft's side of it.

There isn't a side of this that can come to light to forgive him.

His refusal to fight has permanently earned his franchise a label as cheaters.

Fair, unfair, doesnt matter.

In my opinion, and one im fairly confident saying others have; innocent people don't sit back and take punishment they don't deserve
unless they're p*ssies. Clearly, we are.

He could tell us the details of the talk with Goodell if we pay, its all about the $$$$$

Maybe it is about the bucks. I don't know and no one here does. Over the past months Kraft has revealed how upset he was about this whole affair.
Going into that meeting, maybe he was told the league was going to fight this as well. That this would
be the topic for the coming year by every news media person. No Football talk just talk about the battle
between the PATS and the League. In the end even if he should win in court, the Patriots would not win.
Fans league wide will still think Patriots are cheaters. The players will be hounded all year long about any
aspect of the trial. As the year goes on Fans, Coaches, Players of all the other team will be tired of hearing
the rhetoric of the news media and grow to hate the PATS even more. Instead of football we as fans
get a circus of media clowns and legal beagles.

Kraft says NO, even though it hurts him like hell.
He thinks, 'I've done what best for the Fans, the Patriots and the League'.

He asked us to trust him, that this is the best for the fans, the Patriots and the League.
Without ALL the details how can anyone here condemn Kraft for this action.
IMO, We are obviously missing critical information necessary to understand his decision.

Instead of condemning him, try to figure out what the league told him. What the other
31 owners told him. Imagine going into a meeting to find 31 owner set to pull together all their
power to destroy him if he peruses a course of action detrimental to the league.
What would you do? Sacrifice yourself and the fans in a battle you can't win? To potentially bring the
league to it's knees and by so doing put an end to Our Patriots the way we know it.
Maybe the best decision is to back off and fight another day.

I trust what he says.

He says he cares deeply about the feelings of the other 31 fan bases and puts that above our fan base.

I trust that he feels a team that tries to defend it's honor after being unfairly accused is an "agenda" and not as important as the league.

I trust it when he says he thinks about the first owners meeting and that feeling is more important than stopping his league from ****ting on his team and fan base.

Face it, the guy hates his fan base. I would highly doubt he gives a **** about being champs except for making some legacy.

I think you are mistaken, it's not that we don't know his side of the story it is that we don't care! We know what a pile of cow dung the Wells report is and we know that everyone including Kraft has professed innocence, combine that with the fact that we just received the biggest fine in NFL history and voila....refusing to fight this is betrayal of the most loyal Patriots fans...so I reiterate it's not that we don't know his side, IT'S THAT WE DON'T CARE!

Spare us your double-talking ********.
How is losing a 1st round draft pick and having our team tarnished forever "good for the Patriots and its fans?"

Well, I'm done defending the team.

Even though I know Brady didn't cheat, it's hard to defend when the owner of the team accepts the biggest penalty in league history with no concrete proof.

He just accepted a legacy of cheating, and choking to Eli. I'm not going to waste my time defending that

No Kraft said during the press conference that he is doing this for the 31 other teams and the NFL, despite what it does to the fans...so no he,is certainly not doing what is best for the fans

“I know that a lot of Patriots fans are going to be disappointed in that decision,” acknowledged Kraft. “But I hope they trust my judgment and know that I really feel at this point in time that taking this off the agenda, this is the best thing for the New England Patriots, our fans and the NFL. I hope you all can respect that.”

Yep, he's sure we'll all buy the book someone else writes for him to find out why he did this. Should more than make up for the million he lost on the fine.

Wonder if the cost of litigation factored in for Kraft?

The ONLY reason I would accept that logic is that if Goodell told him that they indeed had a "smoking gun" of some sort.

But, if that's true, the whole thing is a sham for me as a fan anyway, so I can't accept that logic.

How's that for logic? :)

Whatever trust he built up with the vast majority of fans of this organization over the last 20 plus years was erased today.

We'd all have to be buffoons to trust him again at this point. And guess what? He'll never get that back.

When players stink they can improve their play. When coaches stink they can change things and improve their team. There's really very few tangible things this coward can do to improve his standing.

But I guess if today showed us anything it's that he doesn't care what we think. Not one little bit.

No I understand that he said that, but it is hypocrisy in its simplest form. If this is the best thing, I sure hope I never live to see the worst of it...

If so, this is the most juvenile reaction in the history of sports.

Let's face it some backdoor deal was made between the two sides. Time will only tell how things will unfold.
