He asked us to trust him, that this is the best for the fans, the Patriots and the League.
Without ALL the details how can anyone here condemn Kraft for this action.
IMO, We are obviously missing critical information necessary to understand his decision.

Instead of condemning him, try to figure out what the league told him. What the other
31 owners told him. Imagine going into a meeting to find 31 owner set to pull together all their
power to destroy him if he peruses a course of action detrimental to the league.
What would you do? Sacrifice yourself and the fans in a battle you can't win? To potentially bring the
league to it's knees and by so doing put an end to Our Patriots the way we know it.
Maybe the best decision is to back off and fight another day.

Benson didn't back down and the Saints seemed to be actually guilty. Kraft has to be one of the few owners who would accept this. Although if this were the Ravens, Jets, Colts, or Steelers this never come close to materlizing.

And maybe Kraft could have won a long drawn out law suit. Kraft judged that a law suit would not be better for the NEP.

No f'in way. He chose the billionaire boys club over his fans. He chose the easy way. I would fight for my reputation all the way, whatever it takes. I would have walked in the room and said F the lot of you and walked out. He accepted the label of cheater like a meek little puppy. Sacrifice fans? How in the hell??? He's lost his fans or a lot of them. Why in the world would you trust him? Did you hear him? He sounded like he was getting all weepy about going into the room 20+ years ago and being welcomed by 31 billionaires.

Fxxk that. He made this disgrace of a bed back in 2006 by championing a former Jets employee for Commisioner, then let all the crap happen in 2007. Now he had to act like he knew best today and hung the players and coaches out to dry.

He's about money. I feel "duped" believing in him for all of these years.

Come on.
How is whats best for the Patriots accepting a penalty for something they didn't do?
There is nothing missing, because its over, he quit, nothing is left to happen.

Its very simple what he was told. He was told that the owners expect him to accept whatever Goodell says because it hurts all of them if his authority is challenged. He was told they will be angry if he fights.
So, he took their side, and threw Tom Brady and his fans to the wolves.

This isn't that hard to understand.

Please give me any possible thing that could happen that would make giving up and accepting the verdict that the SB is tainted because the team cheated and Tom Brady is a cheater and a liar the best thing for the Patriots and their fans?
The reason he gave was it has taken too long. Seriously? Its better to lose fast than to do the right thing and win?
When he compared the fans of the Patriots who support the team to the other fans who think we cheat, as if it were 2 equal groups to him, he proved he doesn't deserve trust.

Good god, is there anything he could do that you would not swallow? First he said he did it for the good of the league. He basically said he put the league before the NEP. That's what he said. How does adppting the label of cheater for evermore help the NEP?

Here's how the theoretical conversation went:

Goodell: Bob, I need you to lay down.
Kraft: Why would I do that, Roger?
Goodell: Trust me, it would be better for you to lay down. You put me in power in the first place. I'll make it up to you later.
Kraft: Gee, I don't know.
Goodell: If you go against the NFL, you will become really unpopular with the other owners. And you don't want that, right?
Kraft: Hmm, you make a good point.
Goodell: Trust me, lay down now and this will all blow over in a few months. Plus you'll get to keep me in your 'back pocket'. Think about all the hard work you had to do to get me here and then the criticism you took just to keep me in power. You going to waste all that?
Kraft: I guess you're right. I'll come up with an announcement officially laying down.
Goodell: I'm the best decision you ever made, Bob!

Kraft leaves.

Goodell: OMG, I can't believe he bought all that! What a sucker! And here I thought I was going to get sued by the mighty Bob Kraft! Hell, if he's willing to do this, I wonder what other crap I can pull in the future and make him eat it at the same time?! *laughs out loud in disbelief*

That ship sailed eight years ago. All this did was give haters more "proof."

He could tell us the details of the talk with Goodell if we pay, its all about the $$$$$

Man, exactly what does Kraft have to do for his strongest defenders to admit that he doesn't care about the fans? Move the team?

There is nothing. If he is covering for someone (which is highly unlikely because the Wells people would have been excited to add, btw) I'd rather he let it play out and we find out the truth.

Irsay betrays yet is chosen as the ally over Brady. Enough said. If there is another side - then Kraft can tell the fans. Otherwise he can suck it.

This is ridiculous. Open season on the Patriots.

There isn't a side of this that can come to light to forgive him.

His refusal to fight has permanently earned his franchise a label as cheaters.

Fair, unfair, doesnt matter.

In my opinion, and one im fairly confident saying others have; innocent people don't sit back and take punishment they don't deserve

How can Kraft defend a league that allowed this attack on his team. What could possibly be worse than this? The worst was over, punishment was either going to get better or stay the same. Kraft decided it was better to accept this punishment rather than fight like a man and deal with a possibly better results. In so doing he betrayed all the Patriots and the fans!
