Kraft is free to live with the shame. I am glad I'm not him.

I think he did get a deal. Goodell needs this to go away, and the other owners want the spotlight turned back on their teams' activities.

The Brady suspension will get dropped, and the blame will fall on the Patriots lack of institutional control over the employees who were let go, and a concession that the footballs should have been in control of the officials the whole time, as per the new rules.

Goodell wins by going hard on the Patriots, Brady wins by having the accusations dropped, the Patriots win by kicking the crap out of everybody.

I'm just at the point where I'm sure many Clippers, Raiders, Browns, Sacramento Kings, etc fans have been over the years. Rooting for a team with an owner I don't hold in high regard.

I rooted for the team when that awful Kiam owned it. But Kraft miraculously has left a worse taste in my mouth. Why? Because Kiam's actions simply crapped all over himself. Kraft's unforced capitulation has crapped over the legacy of the team, the fans, and most importantly BB and Tom Brady.

Millions still go to watch baseball.
Millions no longer do, and the game is feeling it.

Whether you believe it or not, you make a difference. I quit baseball after they stole the World Series, and I haven't gone back. Now, I'll quit football after Brady retires, because the league is clearly corrupt.

And I will never pay for another NFL item, of any kind, again.

If you quit football in the Post-Brady Era...will you quit Patfans, too?
You're an important part of this community.

I'd say it's clearly an act of cowardice and caring more about the Shield and bowing down to it. The team will still have plenty of fans, enough fans to make him a ton of money. But if he were to against the shield, he would have risked alienated himself completely from the rest of the league and that would have hurt his pockets in the long run. He choose the shield over the fans because at the and of the day choosing the shield is a better business decision. And that clearly opens him to criticism. Let it be clear that Im not defending him in anyway. Just asking folks to relax a bit.
And he just gave a "f*ck you very much" to the fans and players. Obviously, he cares more about money and the approval of the jealous "mean girls" comprising the other NFL owners.
F*ck Kraft!
F*ck Goodell!
F*ck the other NFL owners!
F*ck the NFL office!
F*ck the NFL!
F*ck the king!

If the NFL wants to pander to the "fantasy football" crowd and the other casual fans, let them. I'm sure those fickle mush-heads will bail once they are distracted by some other amusement. As a true fan, I want nothing to do with this reality TV garbage and will not support an owner who treats me like I'm just a dollar sign!

Yes, it was, and I've already seen it used. Again, stop deluding yourself.
It wasn't. But if you want it fuel your anger so you can keep making redundant posts about this and further drive up your already ridiculously high post count, knock yourself out. Have fun being so mad.

Mankind can be judged by the active expression of the values they believe and practice. As a fan I am deeply saddened by the retreat of Robert Kraft. He has in a single moment crushed the precious connection fans experience with the New England Patriots. If he truly believes Tom Brady when Brady declares his innocence, and he truly believes his team did nothing wrong this man just made a life decision that affects much more than his dollar bottom line. Assuming that Kraft believes Brady and Brady is not guilty of cheating:

Some men have different values than others. Kraft has different values then some men.

Some men value money over honor. Some men view other men as assets, others view them as partners. Kraft views the men that make up his team as assets. He may say otherwise, but he surely put his money where his mouth is today.

Some men are simply incapable of conceding to what they deeply believe is a moral suicide; admitting to a crime they did not commit. Some men would rather go to prison than make a deal. Kraft has shown he is not one of these men. I hope Tom Brady still is.

Kraft and other men like him, may justify this action by it being good for business, good for money. Do not buy into that. There are thousands of business men out there who would not do what he did. There are business men with honor.

When things go well, or adversity is not at a critical point the true core of a man's values are often not clear. Good treatment and feelings of familial love are not indicative of what is really underneath. Only when inside the trenches will you know what a man is really made of of.

Once money was threatened, Kraft deserted his quarterback, his coach, his team, his organization, and the Patriots brand.

There is no recovery from this. He could not see it because when in the trenches he valued assets more than people. His values are not the same values as the people that feed his family.

@cpriceNFL: I know Twitter is relatively small sample size, but surprised at level of anger from many hardcore fans who I interact w/ on regular basis.

If Brady does sue the NFL, you can bet Kraft is now on the witness list...asking about his conversations with Goodell this week. since neither are an attorney, there is no privilege...Should make for some interesting depositions...

Et tu Robert, et tu???

Bob Kraft may be a great businessman, but he sure is a sucker for “the greater good” argument. Kraft would have fit right in in 1940s Germany. He would have been one of the Jewish leaders urging cooperation with Hitler while Heinrich Himmler was busy massacring Jews by the millions.

Even if there is a secret deal to eliminate Brady’s suspension, which the NFL says there is not, he should have fought the good fight. Not because he would necessarily win, but because it is sometimes necessary to restore order. At the very least, a Patriots lawsuit would have shone the light of truth on the cesspool that is the NFL league office.
Man, you've lost your perspective. No one died. It's only a game. That first paragraph of yours trivializes an existential issue for many whose consequences dwarfs the issue we're discussing here.

It wasn't. But if you want it fuel your anger so you can keep making redundant posts about this and further drive up your already ridiculously high post count, knock yourself out. Have fun being so mad.

Anger has nothing to do with it. And neither does my post count. It's ammunition, whether you like it or not. It's ammunition, whether I like it or not. As I noted, I've seen it used already.

Now, since you're just demonstrated that you're nothing but a troll, off with you.

I guess the other owners had an intervention for the wayward Mr. Robert Kraft. How he thinks this helps is beyond me as I think he has grossly underestimated the passion that has kept Patriots fans going for so long. I don't think he understands that this is a tacit agreement that everything that this team has been accused of is validated. I feel like he just walked up to me and gave me a well placed kick to the nads and it really hurts.

Kraft is going to look pretty stupid when Brady wins his appeal through Judge Doty and it's found that the NFL was at fault.. Then it will be that the Pats were fined and punished for having done nothing wrong.

I can't believe how much energy/time I put into researching camera thingy and this PSI crap to have arguments against all the morons caring the "cheaters" flag only to get this shoved in my face ... GOD I feel stupid ... i need one of those automated ass kicking machines, i fully deserve it.
