If I was Brady, I would drop the appeal......take the 4 games......skip training camp......show Bob Kraft what it's like to be left hanging

Can't Brady still sue for damages since his reputation is damaged. Couldn't the investigation process be brought to light?

yes.....if he is as innocent as he says he is

P.S. This deal has Jonathan Kraft's fingerprints all over it. He strikes me as the Kraft son who's always playing chess, while others perhaps plays checkers.

Brady's suspension would be overturned by a judge regardless of what Kraft did. If Goodell does it, then the corrupt NFL is simply never exposed in court and lives to rape us again. Kraft merely assured that the cheater label is permanently branded onto Brady's legacy.

There is no guarantee that Brady will win in court. When it comes to taking it to court, there is never any guarantees.

I totally disagree. Jonathan is far more likely to go nuclear on the league than Kraft is. Jonathan is far more of an attack dog than Robert is. I think if it was up to Jonathan, this would go to court. Robert is a league first guy.

I ask all the Pats fans to stop going to the game, stop buying the jerseys, don't spend another penny on Patriots as a protest of Kraft's statement.

See, I see it as just the opposite. Jonathan is the 'cooler' head, esp. as compared to the other son (heavier set) you see on TV sitting next to his dad, opposite Jonathan. That son is more the hot head.

This is really hard to understand and to take. If, as Bedard is saying, this does not include any connection to the Brady suspension, I frankly, don't know what to think. I know how I'd think if I were a fan of another team: guilty. Hell, I'm beginning to wonder myself.

You clearly don't know Jonathan. Robert has always been the more level headed guy who is more of reconciler than Jonathan. Jonathan is usually the guy they send out there when they want to attack. Robert's entire demeanor during this entire process is way out of his character.

I would happily take my chances in court and not fork over my #1 and #4.

I am not saying I would do what Kraft did. I am just saying there is no guarantees in court. Even if the NFLPA think they have a great chance in court, I have seem a lot of slam dunk cases lose in court for any number of reasons (the judge had a bias, their interpretation of the law isn't how the judge seen it, etc.).

I personally would have fought. But it isn't my decision. I am not happy about what Kraft did even if he got Brady's suspension wiped away.

Understood. In my estimation, the chances of Brady's suspension being upheld in court are slim to none, which is no less than the chances Kraft would have had of reducing the team's suspension had chosen to fight it. Just a bad deal for the team and for the fans. A sad day in Patriots history.

Can't agree with this as the capitulation doesn't reflect one with any suaveness at all. I would expect better from Jonathon

Even if Brady's suspension is lifted by the NFL, he should still sue for defamation of character. But knowing Kraft, he will beg Brady not to and thus he will make sure Brady is labled a cheater for all eternity !!

That was my fear - Kraft capitulates in exchange for Tom's suspension being dropped, and the fight is over, since Tom can't go to court to fight a 0 game suspension.
There's an O Henry story in that scenario.

You speak as if this was something other than a complete betrayal of the team, Tom Brady and the fan base.

He didn't say anything to defend Brady all he basically said was "I am a ***** to Goodell and the other 30 owners and I dont want to rock the boat" Kraft just bent over and spread for his wallet what a whore.
Kraft hasn't defended Brady, so effen what? Brady hasn't defended Brady. Did you cheat Tom? I Don"t think so. F him. If he is innocent, he should be screaming it from the tree tops. Instead he goes into hiding and hides behind a high priced mouthpiece. If that appeal is unsuccessful, that's it, he will not take it to court because he is Guilty. I think it's a minor infraction but as usual, the coverup is way worse than the crime. Brady should apologize to Kraft for tainting the Patriots name especially after SpyGate.

Disagree, he said he never tampered with or told anyone to tamper with the balls. I think he's being quiet because the NFLPA wants him to, they want to fight this with TB.

Kraft did this because he doesn't want anything to go to court. Not to save Brady from a failing court case, but to keep the NFL safe. Even if Goodell drops all punishment to Brady, it wasn't because Kraft fell on the sword to save him. He did what he did to try and keep the league and the commissioner safe from harm. More importantly: Kraft doesn't want the NFLPA to blow up the CBA in court via Brady lawsuit. That's what this is really about. The extremely owner friendly CBA.

Kraft and Belichick basically dragged TB into this with their denial and Mona vita Lisa bull. If Kraft just took a punishment in January they probably never even look at Tom. And now Kraft is leaving Tom and the fan base out to dry.

Brady denied in January and is still appealing and has his legal team fighting hard not much more he can do.
