We'll see on that ... they still have a huge waiting list ... I doubt sellouts will cease.
Real fans will not abandon the team ... IMO ... hurt Kraft in other business ways ... hopefully.
Yeah but if a good deal of his wealth comes from the team, in my mind it's the equivalent of saying you're boycotting McDonalds by not getting a milkshake with your Big Mac, Super-size Fries and 10-piece Chicken McNugget and medium fountain soda.

I completely get the reasoning why some want to hit him financially but still support the team itself. But again if the team is one of his biggest and most lucrative financial pieces to his wealth, that's essentially where the boycott has to to start....not end up as a last resort. I'm not quite to that point....yet. I'm just at the point where I'm sure many Clippers, Raiders, Browns, Sacramento Kings, etc fans have been over the years. Rooting for a team with an owner I don't hold in high regard.

Yeah, a guarantee that the next reaming is all ready to go as soon as an appropriate excuse can be found. This is too much fun for Goodell (and, apparently, Kraft) to not do it again.

But he didn't. There was no admission of guilty, he just said that he will unhappily take the punishment, which makes him quite the *****, but changes nothing in the eyes of people that were already calling the Patriots cheaters. In other words, today's surrender is not as big as an ammunition to Patriots haters as you think. Their ammunition was the Wells Report.
I have no idea whether this is an admission of guilt or an act of cowardice and I can't decide which is worse.

A reacharound from Goodell?

What is not widely known is that Kraft’s great-great-great-grandfather, General Alfonzo Solomon Stanton Kraft, fought in the American Revolution. General Kraft is reported to have said four months after the Battle of Lexington that there were “two polar extremes in this conflict—the Patriots on the one hand and the Tories and the British on the other” and that they would never see eye to eye. General Kraft observed, however, that everyone could agree that the conflict had gone on long enough and that for the good of the colonies he was giving up the fight. Fortunately, General Kraft was replaced by General George Washington after General Kraft suffered a severe bout of indigestion after eating Indian (feathers not dots this time) food at a peace powwow with the Commander of the British forces and leaders of Indian tribes aligned with the British and General Kraft’s name is just a footnote to history.

Let's get ready for 18 game seasons and teams in Europe. That's what Kraft really wants. How much do you bet part of the 'back channel' conversation had to do with the future of the NFL's marketing expansion and new ways to make money off the peasants?

As if today wasn't bad enough, now Mortensen is back to tweeting about Brady. Apparently the NFL gave him his twitter password back after this morning's developments.

Reports are he got no concessions in regards to Brady's suspension. So this is really just Kraft caving in. He didn't even manage to negotiate any benefits for his team in exchange for accepting the punishments. It's a pretty Sad result overall.

While I am disappointed, I will withhold my harsher comments until I know what happens with TB's appeal.

kraft is a coward period. i hope he gets booed everytime they show his face on the jumbotron or when hes on the field for any reason. he makes me sick. i never thought i would ever be embarrassed to be a patriots fan. after today i am. the only excuse for accepting a punishment when your innocent is when it would cost more for the lawyer or to mount a defense. thats clearly not the case for a billionaire.

I want to believe he did but every single thing that we have hoped for regarding this winds up just being the the opposite.

Reports are he got no concessions in regards to Brady's suspension.
I am holding out hope that neither Kraft nor Roger want any information of a deal leaked before the arb hearing.

“He had to make the best decision for the Patriots, and for him, and he made it, I guess,” said New York Jets owner Woody Johnson.

Asked if it was good for the league to have an influential owner like Kraft take a step back, Johnson said: “I really don’t want to comment on it.”

Texans owner Bob McNair voiced complete support of the decision.

“I think that’s indicative of what Robert tries to do. He thinks about the league,” McNair said. “I think that’s the smart thing for him to do. So, I’m pleased.”

Rival owners are 'pleased' with Kraft's decision. I want to say I'm disappointed, but I have never respected Kraft after 'spygate', so I can only take solace in the fact that now everyone else can see Kraft for what he is..
Of course they are pleased with Krafts decision. He just fell on his sword to their benefit. How about giving up some more draft picks Mr Kraft, or maybe voluntary take a cut in the salary cap. They would all love that.

I have no idea whether this is an admission of guilt or an act of cowardice and I can't decide which is worse.
I'd say it's clearly an act of cowardice and caring more about the Shield and bowing down to it. The team will still have plenty of fans, enough fans to make him a ton of money. But if he were to against the shield, he would have risked alienated himself completely from the rest of the league and that would have hurt his pockets in the long run. He choose the shield over the fans because at the and of the day choosing the shield is a better business decision. And that clearly opens him to criticism. Let it be clear that Im not defending him in anyway. Just asking folks to relax a bit.

Looks like the NFLPA is continuing to bomb the NFL offices. It is going to be great when Tom gets completely exonerated making Kraft look like an even bigger buffoon than he already does now.
