I'm just too much of a football fan to be done I suppose. My hope is more of the NFL eventually falling apart and a new professional league taking over. So I guess that until then I haven't a choice.

I can see the touching father/son chat now:

"Someday, son, I'm going to die. When I do, I'll leave you the most reviled team in all of professional sports.

But you'll get $4.3 billion PLUS an extra hundred million more than it might have been had I saved the team's good name. Isn't that great? That $100 million is going to make all the difference."

If those players chose "End it" over "Extend it" when fighting for wins, we would have the team that Robert Kraft deserves.

Each and every one of you worked your tail off this past year and brought joy to all of Patriot Nation. Today your boss thanked you by spitting in each and every one of your faces. You all deserve better.
Well said. So glad I didn't run out to buy the latest 3 Games to Glory.
This hurts every player and every coach who wore the Patriots uniform over the years. I can't believe Tedy Bruschi, Wille McGinest, Steve Grogan, John Hannah and so many others aren't punching walls today. Bob, you are a disgrace to the franchise.

This is how the Mafia operates.

That spineless piece of **** didn't get a god damn thing. I hope the sorry, cowardly, sniveling lump chokes on its ****ing filet while giving Rog a handy at dinner. I am appalled that it will sit back and watch it's brand be the subject of an obvious smear campaign.

To all you calling it a jellyfish,
this is inaccurate, jellyfish sting, and some of them are even deadly. Bob kraft is an over ripe banana, mere mush, lacking the ability and genitalia to naturally procreate.

I would love it if the entire fan base stayed outside the stadium for the entire first quarter of the opening game. What a statement that would make.

If your innocent you don't lay down and take responsibility for the better of 31 other teams who hate your organization and are nothing but jealous middle school kids.

I am honestly embarresed to be a Patriots fan right now. Was embarrassed with spygate and even more embarrassed with this s**t show Kraft put on for a week.

Were cheaters whether we as fans like it or not the New England Patriots are cheaters and have accepted that as fact by taking it up the A**hole.

Just my two cents but if/when the league vacates the Brady suspension for "lack of evidence" they will then have made the Brady appeal and subsequent lawsuit by Brady and the NFLPA go away. This the typical......

Goodell - Bob someone has to take the fall for this.
Bob - Ok Roger the Pats Org will take the fall but Brady is cleared, deal?
Goodell - Deal

Protect the Shield - keeping this whole thing out of court does just that.

Again this is predicated on Brady being cleared completely. If he isn't I have to believe this still goes to court.

I really don't care if he got anything. I wanted to be exonerated. If later we find out fines reduced picks, good but that is not the point. Espceially when I think what scum godell kensil and most of the owners are.

So Brady is effectively thrown under the bus. He was going to win in court.
Now he will forever be considered a cheater because Kraft knew it and took one for him to bail him out.

If, and I could be way off, but IF the success of the NFL and its teams is determined by passion (with the resulting money spent) for the game/team, then Kraft might not come out ahead financially in the end.

Where is he when BB and Brady retire or leave. What leftover passion will there be for a Kraft owned team after that.

A dark day for Patriots fans.

A very dark day indeed!

We have now been exposed to reality.

To wit: Kraft has done nothing for "his" team, nor his fan base. In a word, the very people who supported and even worshiped him for more than 21 years.

No, instead, we are exposed to the stunningly abhorrent sight of Bob Kraft confessing his true constituency is not the above, but his fraternity of 31 other owners and the league office, the very people who have given him this most public of reamings.

I can only speak for myself, but I find I'm totally broken-hearted by this turn of events. I'll now probably save a couple of hundred dollars by dropping NFL Direct Ticket, and spend most of my Sunday afternoons playing golf.

I mean, how can I get excited about this team now? All the fun has been taken out of it for me.

What a waste.

Thanks, Mr. Kraft.

Lol What if Kraft was threatened in some mafia-esque type of way?

It's extremely unlikely, but how would it change your view on this?
