@SI_PeterKing: Kraft1:

“At no time should the agenda of one team outweigh the collective good of the full 32.”
—Robert Kraft.

That statement is the worst.
There's a thing called principles.........and they are worth fighting for, no matter the cost........

Chill people. This franchise had one foot and four toes in St. Louis when Bob Kraft stepped up. He hired Bill Belichick when nearly everyone said it was a mistake. He's earned our trust.

Buying the team over 20 years ago doesn't excuse the behavior of today (and I mean today in a general, not specific, sense).

No, Kraft is a p****. And I would bet that this business decision is not good for business either. Kraft lives in a bubble surrounded by yes men. They probably nodded at what a great business idea this was and told home if he does everyone will move on. They probably told him the same thing in 2007. The man is simply a fool who has surrounded himself with fools.

Now he will be confused when he gets boo'd and his handlers will tell him the crowd is actually cheering Bob while they change his diaper.

I posted this in another thread

This is what I think may have happened.

1) Goodell does not want to fight the Pats or Brady in court. He let this get out of control and now he needs it to die down.
2) Kraft is pissed. He doesn't want to fight the NFL in court but may have to 'cause of the harshness of the penalties and having his greatest star under fire.
3) Goodell appoints himself arbitrator in the Brady case so he has something to go to Kraft with. He meets Kraft on the weekend. "Bob, I am arbitrator in the case. If you drop the team appeal/case then I will drop the Brady suspension. The NFL doesn't want to go to court and I'm sure you do not also. You get Brady's suspension dropped and we get the team penalties upheld. We both get to save some face."

Now for us as Pats fans, we want total absolution of any wrong doing, but Kraft as an owner does not want to be in court fighting the league. He doesn't have the demeanor of Al Davis, it's us against the world. He loves being a big cog in the NFL machine so in his mind taking a hit but getting the Brady's suspension dismissed is a better alternative then going against the league and taking it to court.

Now if he just gave up without any backroom dealing and making sure Brady's suspension is dismissed then he's a complete coward.

I think a deal has been made despite multiple sources deny such deal is in place. I don't see why else kraft would roll over like that.

Logically, the league can absolve Brady while punishing the Pats, in effect taking the stance:
  • There's some guilt in there somewhere.
  • Brady himself was innocent.

But few people will buy that.

His lawyers must have told him a lawsuit was a losing battle. Brady's will not be. When Brady is exonerated, the Patriots will be as well.
To that I say...BS...for almost 5 months NE Patriots fans have been defending that money grubbing owner's franchise...and today he spit in our faces....F Him...Dead to me....

..... unlimited supply of K-Y Jelly

Maybe it's not easy for everyone to simply jump ship over this?

I am coming to realize that many of the people on this forum are insane. Yes this is bad. But come on now! All these viewpoints are so delusional, and in the great scheme of things are irrelevant.

Hurting Bass Pro Shops and the like because of their landlord is what you consider a solid plan?

What the hell kind of thinking is that? You're calling others delusional after that?

Bob Kraft may be a great businessman, but he sure is a sucker for “the greater good” argument. Kraft would have fit right in in 1940s Germany. He would have been one of the Jewish leaders urging cooperation with Hitler while Heinrich Himmler was busy massacring Jews by the millions.
You should be banned for this garbage post ........... extremely insulting.

Criticize or applaud the owner's actions ... not the owner's heritage.

He gets most of his money from the TV contracts ... not much we can do there ... all owners share that.

We can call local advertisers and tell them that we won't use their products. We also have full control over the second highest source of income which is gate receipts. If you go to the games, you give him money....period.

Myra Kraft is turning over in her grave. Kinda happy she's not around to see what her husband has become.

I thought the same thing earlier, I was happy she'd already passed on because she would be ashamed.

Well - I'm done with it. No more games at Wembley. No more NFL merchandise. No more watching games.

Nothing.

I can't dedicate any time to a league that is inherently corrupt - and for Kraft to bend over so readily to take it up the rear end for the good of the league means I can't readily dedicate any time to the team either.
It breaks my heart, but I have to take a stand against this league. Shame on everyone concerned.

I don't know why people and the media think this is important. It's not. Brady is going to rape the NFL in court. Kraft didn't need to concede ANYTHING to get Brady's suspension lifted. It is going to happen regardless.
It's important because his rolling over to Goodell means everyone thinks it's an admission of guilt. We got hosed by the one person who should put the Patriots above the league. My God Bob, did he at least buy you dinner first?

I will never turn my back on the team I have supported since the 60's.

I will turn my back on Patriot Place and spending on anything Kraft.

Boycott Patriot Place .... I think it's what we all should do to voice our displeasure.
If boycotting Patriot place includes turning in your season tickets, I agree. Otherwise, you're trying to have your cake and eat it too. The one thing that would really hurt him in the pocketbook would be if his franchise value were affected by his inability to put fannies in the seats. Everything else is just window dressing.

This is just wishful thinking. Heavy on the wishful, and light in the thinking.

Wasn't really talking about the trying to tear Kraft down side of it. Kraft will be a rich man either way. Do you not understand how wealthy this man is? You're foolish to think losing some season ticket holders will hurt him. From what I've seen outside of this board, many Pats fans are upset but this is the only place I've seen that wants to completely jump ship on the Patriots. So go ahead give up the season tickets.
New people will fill them in. Gladly.

I'm not saying I like it. But it's just the truth.

We'll see on that ... they still have a huge waiting list ... I doubt sellouts will cease.
Real fans will not abandon the team ... IMO ... hurt Kraft in other business ways ... hopefully.

This is the worst day of my Patriots fan life. I don't believe I will ever root for this team as passionately as I did unless/until Kraft sells this team. Truly heartbroken and disappointed in his decision...
