I'm livid. And I think Kraft is spineless. But let's all wait a little here before coming to conclusions about selling off of the Patriots. Do you think all Skins fans like Snyder? Think all Cowboy fans like Jerry Jones?

You don't have to support the owner to be a Patriots fan. Kraft won't miss you either way, he'll be a rich man whether you all leave or not.

You guys love these players and you can't deny it.

Just think before you leave.

What is a sucker?

Millions still go to watch baseball.
Millions no longer do, and the game is feeling it.

Whether you believe it or not, you make a difference. I quit baseball after they stole the World Series, and I haven't gone back. Now, I'll quit football after Brady retires, because the league is clearly corrupt.
I guess each of us can make a difference, when it all adds up. After BB/TB I will be done too. We are lucky we had the rid we did but at least they can still inflict some damage out there.

Since I gave up on MLB,NBA,and NHL this is all I will have until post TB.

This was so depressingly predictable (I made a thread about it) that I honestly question the IQ of anyone who thinks this is some "change of heart." This is the guy who left his dying wife so that he could go battle the unions for every last penny. The guy who went on a Roger Goodell PR tour after he tried to sweep the Ray Rice incident under the rug. The guy who didn't fight spygate or say anything during bountygate. The guy who goes into every interview with a litany of ******** business speak and hollow platitudes designed to obfuscate and misdirect at every turn. Every single criticism anyone has of "the NFL" and Goodell's regime can look to Kraft, the guy who is the biggest player in all of it, from the concussion lawsuit to the disciplinary fiascos. He is a businessman and I am a customer and I'm gonna go ahead and not support his product anymore.

I feel the same way. When they forced an obviously somewhat-reluctant Brady to give weak-sounding PC right after all this broke out, I had this sinking feeling that he was going to be made the sacrificial lamb in all this. And that is obviously what it was, and what is happening right now. (Belichick's 1st presser was different--he obviously knew Kraft wouldn't dare betray him a second time.)

**** you Robert Kraft, you weak-ass slimeball. A true snake in the grass if there ever was one.

Dear Robert, why the f...ck didnt u just said after AFC game, our staff member cheated after Tom wanted PSI lvl below 12.5. That is what ppl think that happened. And that stupid website of yours. I dont get it

The whole world think Brady is cheater. Gronk and edelman has been thrown balls who are easier to grip. Their legacy is under question. Thats is opinion about Pats now. Why didnt u ****iws just admit.

Not fighing for ur rights is worst than cheating.

I am not a Pats fan anymore, i am fan since 2006, when i started to watch, from 2011 i everyday check stuff bout pats, but i dont accept this so i am out.

I even wont touch any of players for fantasy.

Wilfork, mallet, Hoyer and billy obrien, i ll join u guys and sorry Gronk, Edelman the king, Lafell and other guys.

You people are nuts. Players, coaches, and GMs all want to win. Frequently, they violate rules- both major and minor- to help them win. From the beginning, I strongly suspected Brady was complicit in deflating balls below the league-mandated level. However, I never really thought it was that big of a deal. It's not PED-bad. It's probably not even spitball bad. A little apology, a fine, maybe a one game suspension. Brady could have said that referees had forced him to play with balls over 12.5, and he broke the rules by requiring the equipment guys to deflate them back down to 12.5 after the inspection. But Brady and Kraft both proclaimed their innocence and backed Goodell into a corner. They essentially forced the investigation. And the investigation at least strongly suggested Brady was complicit in violating the rules. Was the Wells report done well? I think not. Was there a preponderance of evidence? Debatable. Was the punishment excessive? Almost certainly. So again, Kraft throws down the gauntlet and challenges the league with a response to the Wells report and subsequent commitment to fight the punishment. Then, suddenly and seemingly inexplicably, he backs down and accepts the punishment. Did he just decide he didn't want to fight it? I seriously doubt it. He either received some secret benefit- which I believe is unlikely- or more likely, became aware of additional evidence or information that would make Brady and the Pats looks worse. So he wisely cut his losses. My prediction is Brady will eventually do the same in one way or another. Maybe accept a 2 game suspension as a resolution. Regardless. to turn against an organization that has constantly put a winning product on the field for all these years, merely because they don't contest a punishment that is probably a bit heavy handed but not without some justification is absolutely ludicrous. If you want to give up your season tickets or jerseys or whatever because you are done with the Pats please contact me. I'll be happy to take them off your hands. But you're all full of it- you'll be regulars on this board agains by the time camp opens.

I look at it this way. I basically didn't have summers before I quit following MLB. Now, I have a great time doing all sorts of things I'd never have had the time to do.

And, soon, I'll have my fall Sundays for other things, too.

Brady is better off retiring and riding into the sunset on a Super Bowl victory with his millions of dollars and his supermodel wife. How he would ever want to play for a man that just completely threw him under the bus for his own financial good is beyond me.

Take the NFL to court. Have the Lawyer rip the Wells report apart and reveal the lies and misinformation to the court and the public. Get suspension lifted and then retire.

I am referring to the draft picks Kraft just surrendered without a fight.
Ok, I did not put that together with your statement.

They will figure out the CB situation. The 1st rounder will hurt. I think they are fine at WR. Remember we have 3 great receiving TEs.

I actually still cant believe the pats are getting docked a frist rounder for nothing.

What is a sucker?
Not a sucker. I'll admit I'm even thinking about jumping ship eventually. But I'm not going to burn all my Patriots apparel yet like most of you seem so ready to do.

The return/enter key is both your friend, and ours.

At least when Eli scored on the Patriots back in 08 he was doing his job.

What's this guys excuse ?

I feel worse today than on that February evening.

If it comes with an apology to Brady and dropping of the suspension, maybe he took a bullet for the QB. I could understand that. But I don't see that.

Seriously? Can anyone think it will come with that? People stop giving Goodell the benefit of the doubt. My god what will it take for people to realize that at best he doesn't give a **** about the Patriots?

Why would anyone continue hoping at this point ? Why are you thinking this leads to more ? People on here have been saying - all along - to wait and "this or that" will happen. None of it did. Wells report sucks, punishment sucks, owner sucks. There is nothing here but crap.

All those ESPN and NFLN idiots will say that Bradys win on appeal was brokered by Kraft, and claim that Kraft took one to save his cheating QB.
This all stinks to hell.

AJ you are extrapolating way too much. If Brady can get a win (anyone thinking the appeal in front of Goody is that venue for a win???) it will be down the line and in front of a judge/third party. What Kraft did today will have nothing to do with it and only the biggest morons of the en masse morons would even try to make the connection.

Kraft submarined nothing for Brady today. Brady's case has not changed one iota.

I am hoping that the team will tacitly cooperate, behind the scenes, with Brady's fight with the knowledge that a Brady win is by proxy a team win. Even with Kraft being milquetoast, does anyone really believe Kraft wouldn't find it exceptionally gratifying for a judge/third party to say "the evidence does not support guilt"? Kraft was clear in his PC that he does not agree with the findings of the Wells' Report or the League's decision to find them guilty.

Unfortunately the team cooperation with Brady's legal team has the NFL contractual crap involved which may make behind the scenes cooperation extremely dicey (but I still hope).

NFL doesn't deserve Brady or Belichick. Belichick is too smart for them and Brady is too competitive at his age. NFL would love for them to be gone.

This is 100% accurate. The NFL doesnt deserve Belichick or Brady. Any and every other league loves and honors an innovative coach that comes along once a blue moon except this league. Instead they tarnish his greatness. The NFL is a joke. I will never purchase NFL merchandise again. Complete crock of a league

Bob Kraft may be a great businessman, but he sure is a sucker for “the greater good” argument. Kraft would have fit right in in 1940s Germany. He would have been one of the Jewish leaders urging cooperation with Hitler while Heinrich Himmler was busy massacring Jews by the millions.

Even if there is a secret deal to eliminate Brady’s suspension, which the NFL says there is not, he should have fought the good fight. Not because he would necessarily win, but because it is sometimes necessary to restore order. At the very least, a Patriots lawsuit would have shone the light of truth on the cesspool that is the NFL league office.

I can believe they were penalized with the loss of a first rounder because the league that handed down the penalty is corrupt. I am disappointed that my owner has sided with corruption instead of defending the team and standing up for what is right.

Was told by a high-ranking NFL source that Kraft's decision to stand down does not include a deal on Brady. Surprising to me.

Belief in league circles is NFLPA has found the perfect player & case to go big-game hunting and change commissioner discipline forever.

So, it's complicated on the Brady end. Kraft really didn't have many options

Never forget that Roger is Kraft's guy. He's the $50 million magnet for all the criticism that should be justly directed at ownership. When the NFLPA decided to take on the CBA, Kraft ditched the cause of his employee (and with it his consumers) and circled the wagons. Profit before people, always.

"At no time should the agenda of one team outweigh the collective 32."

Corporate socialism at its finest. The interests of the 1/10th of the 1% outweigh the interests of his own team, his community, his loyal fanbase and his neighbor (Brady). Same as it ever was.

I was going to wait awhile, hoping there would be more to this capitulation. I thought this might just be a charade, where Kraft falls on the sword to help the NFL save face. In return, maybe a little fNFL headquarters house cleaning would be in order, along with a reduction in penalties, announced later to try to separate events.
