Just wow. This comes close to the 2007 super bowl loss. What a cowardly way to go down. Just do me a favor and take the website down regarding deflategate. Why even post it? The NFL doesn't believe in science and either does Bobby boy apparently. Kraft ought to leave the country and take up residence in France. "We surrender"

It won't even matter if Brady wins now since everyone will just believe it was because of backroom dealings by Kraft and not because he's actually innocent.

Everything is fu*ked there is no redemption

Kraft has now put Brady in a position where, for 'legacy' purposes, Brady is better off losing his appeal and having to go to court.

obviously, he went with the $s of the brand, not the franchise.

very disappointed that the owner is a ****y.

Now as expected everyone out there is saying that this is an admission of guilty. Wonderful.

I really hope BB quits and start the journey to revamp a different team somewhere else.

Thats why they leaked the story.

Whatever. Like Halifax said, you can still watch the team and not respect the owner. IF someone wanted to stop watching I wouldnt blame them. The whole league is a joke and the media makes it 100xs worse.

Look at the Bruins for years. Die hard fan base under Jeremy Jacobs when he was hated. And they never won a championship when that was going on.

I did that soul searching I said I was going to do, and I resolved upon something like this. We are not the first fans who have to reconcile our love for the players and coaches with the presence of a corrupt ******* owner, and we won't be the last.

One phrase we hear all of the time and usually disregard sums this entire thing up:

"The NFL is a business"

It doesn't just apply to players getting cut or rules being changed, it's applicable on every level of this league.

Upon winning Brady should hold out and demand a trade.

What's the bruins case people keep referring to?

Need to see how the rest of this plays out. I can't believe he would do this withou getting something in return from the Brady side of things.

It probably is.
It is more probably than not that the Patriots cheated since their owner will not even defend them because its better to end it than extend it.
Quitting is only better than fighting when you are guilty.

I ask all the Pats fans to stop going to the game, stop buying the jerseys, don't spend another penny on Patriots as a protest of Kraft's statement. Please spread this message as much as you can.

I was waiting to buy the 3 Games Blu-Ray
Not. Gonna. Do. It.
Can't watch without the stain of what has undeservedly happened to the franchise at this owner's hands.

I don't know why people and the media think this is important. It's not. Brady is going to rape the NFL in court. Kraft didn't need to concede ANYTHING to get Brady's suspension lifted. It is going to happen regardless.

I just got off the phone with one of the season ticket account managers. He said they have received a few calls from upset fans such as myself. He was very courteous -- listened to me, took notes, said it will be passed along and that I "might" hear back from a team representative.

What a helpless feeling this is, like figuratively being knifed in the back.
I hope they get flooded w/more calls. This is all on Kraft. I'm sure there are many many people in the organization who are stunned by this backstab.

I'll bite.

I've gotta think that Kraft has no compelling reason to get in front of the cameras today unless a quid pro quo is involved. The chronology of events could be as follows:

Today: Kraft and Goodell make peace and Kraft announces, after careful consideration, he will not sue the League
Today and tomorrow: media swarming all over the subject, offering all sorts of opinions from "guilty as charged" to classy move, but most will gravitate towards classy move.
Later this week: Goodell announces a more lenient punishment for both the Patriots and Brady (doesn't he only have 10 days from the day Brady appealed last week?) whereby he acknowledges the continued leadership of Kraft and showing himself to be a "bigger man"...able to recognize the punishment may not have been fairly applied, or substantiated, and even crediting Kraft's remarks of today in his decision-making process on the appeal.

Note: this doesn't necessarily change Brady's strategy (I'm guessing) unless he is fully exonerated. I don't believe Kraft would guarantee that he could "deliver" Brady's compliance. But he very well could have delivered a message from Brady's camp indicating a possible middle ground. Bottom line: it's in everyone's best interest to put this all behind them.
Another voice of reason, though I can't say I like it.
