That was my fear - Kraft capitulates in exchange for Tom's suspension being dropped, and the fight is over, since Tom can't go to court to fight a 0 game suspension.

You can't get NFL rulings against teams overturned. Do you guys think Washington and Dallas are happy about the cap penalties? Do you think the Sainsts are happy about the loss of draft picks and Payton suspension?? Of course not. Nobody is going Al Davis any longer. Different era. TB12 will play 16 games this year. On appeal, or by reduction on a lawsuit.

In what universe is it okay to accept the largest team sanction in NFL history for a speeding ticket level misdemeanor that wasn't even proven, just to get rid of a suspension to a player who again was never proven to be involved in said misdemeanor? If this is the reason, it doesn't make it even close to right.

Even if Brady's suspension is overturned, I hardly care at this point. The only thing that could fix this is Brady taking hte league to the court and airing out its dirty laundry, and that's just not going to happen.

Because behind closed doors, Goodumba$$ fell down to his knees, and gave Kraft a BJ, practically begging him not to appeal so he doesn't lose his job, after the Wells report gets shredded to pieces in the court of law.

Not to mention that there are only very narrow issues on which a court will even hear an appeal of a team sanction. It isn't the same as labor. Al Davis was able to sue because he was successful in ginning up an antitrust issue. I'm not sure what that takes or whether there would be a way to do that in this case since IANAL.

Well here's the thing: if it's true this was an agreement that will ultimately overturn Brady's suspension, wouldn't we rather that play out separately, ultimately wind up in court ala Vilma and his suspension? That's the only way the biases and faulty logic in the report gets exposed, even if the end result is the same.

I would rather Kraft kept his mouth shut, allowed the Wells report in context to be his 'appeal' and quietly accepted all penalties for the team with a press release that the team has no other recourse short of suing the league. Then let Brady and the NFLPA play out his appeal, whatever the results may be.

If I'm being honest, this puts a little doubt in my mind around this whole thing. I've been trumping the science since the day the Wells report was released. But if it's true that this results in no appeal and nothing further being analyzed than it sounds more like Kraft wants this buried than he wants to see their name cleared.

He didn't say anything to defend Brady all he basically said was "I am a ***** to Goodell and the other 30 owners and I dont want to rock the boat" Kraft just bent over and spread for his wallet what a whore.

Brady isn't 28 years old and losing all these picks will catch up to us.

F kraft. F em

Well those teams did something wrong with lots of substancial evidence. So of course there was no grounds to appeal. This is a totally different situation and Kraft just offered his ass to Goodell.

**** him. **** him even more if this was for the Brady suspension. **** him the most if we wont get out first round pick back.

This is my only thinking that Kraft did. Fall on his sword to save Brady and his legacy.
Brady's suspension would be overturned by a judge regardless of what Kraft did. If Goodell does it, then the corrupt NFL is simply never exposed in court and lives to rape us again. Kraft merely assured that the cheater label is permanently branded onto Brady's legacy.

Kraft is all about protecting the NFL. He made this deal to take the fine and get the draft picks so Brady can't appeal (because the suspension will be lifted) so Brady can't bring this sham of a wells report before the court and embarrass the NFL.

That is my take. Wink-wink that if no appeal, no suspension. Networks probably livid over no Brady for Pittsburgh (NBC), Buffalo (CBS), and Dallas (CBS) headline games.

Can't Brady still sue for damages since his reputation is damaged. Couldn't the investigation process be brought to light?
