Kraft to speak at 1PM

I hope that those of you who are on twitter are letting the Patriots know your thoughts and feelings on this matter.

Unless this was part of a deal to get his suspension overturned, I hope that Brady asks to be released from his contract. BB too.

Cutting a deal to get Brady's suspension removed is the unkindest cut of all. It takes away any chance for Tom to have his day in "court", figuratively or literally. If I were Tom, and if Tom is not culpable, I'd ask for my walking papers if that were the case.

Cannot belive some of the responds. This team was a laughing stock for years and had Kraft not stepped in to buy the team there may not be a team. This team has been competitive for years and has 4 SB rings and people will boo him?

Childness and pathetic.

Yes, Kraft's decision was indeed pathetic, and it's definitely worthy of booing, unless there's some significant alteration of the punishment coming in the very near future.

And his buying the team has nothing, at all, to do with that, so leave the red herring in your fridge.

I've got to laugh at the people who thing this media blitz ends...now it gets ramped up and the focus turns solely on Brady and his legacy... he's been sold out like every fan..

I laugh at the "There must be some back room deal" stuff though... there's nothing, nada. If anything, Brady's got a tougher time now.

Also, if those two ball boys indeed did nothing, their reputations have been tossed by Kraft as well too. "Owner of the fans" ...lol he just threw those guys with the rest of the fanbase under the bus.

BB and the players won those super bowls, Kraft just made money on them.

"Lifelong fan?!" ********, he stopped being a fan 20 years ago. Now he's just a spineless exec trying not to upset the gravy train. I'm sure that ****y put knee pads on first, and we all know he swallowed.

I'd love if Brady took out a full page that put Mr. Kraft in his place. Brady has to be completely pissed. Heck, BB has to be pissed too and this distraction will never go away for us fans.

I wish Brady would just retire now so I could wipe my hands of the NFL.

Perhaps those who are Brady fans, and not patriots fans, should just leave now.

Let's be clear. I understand why patriot fans are upset.

Way to take it balls deep, Bobby! You ******* ****y. And way to hang your quarterback, the man that single handedly made you money hand over fist, out to dry.

Obviously it isn't on the level of Brady but don't forget to include us fans in the 'hanging out to dry'.

I am hoping behind the scenes Kraft is giving full unwavering cooperative support to Brady's fight. Make no mistake today means this is Brady's fight and his alone. The good news is I can see no reason for Brady to roll over. As long as that is the case this thing isn't even over!

I think the collective Message Board may be over-reacting a bit. I've gotta think there's a quid pro quo involved...and that Kraft has no compelling reason to get in front of the cameras otherwise. The chronology of events could be as follows:

Last 2 weeks: the brouhaha we're all familiar with...
This week: NFL meetings in Orlando
Today: Kraft and Goodell make peace
Today: Kraft announces, after careful consideration, he will not sue the League
Today and tomorrow: media swarming all over the subject, offering all sorts of opinions from "guilty as charged" to classy move
Later this week: Goodell announces a more lenient punishment for both the Patriots and Brady (doesn't he only have 10 days from the day Brady appealed?) whereby he acknowledges the continued leadership of Kraft while showing himself to be a "bigger man"...able to recognize the punishment may not have been fairly applied and even crediting Kraft's remarks of today in his decision-making process on the appeal.

Note: this doesn't necessarily change Brady's strategy...I'm guessing...unless he is fully exonerated.

Even if the penalties do change I'm not thrilled. First, because even if Kraft got the sanctions reduced through some backdoor deal, this is still upholding the league status quo. Just like Spygate.

Two, because it looks like Brady's on his own. And yes, Goodell could waddle in and reduce Brady's suspension. But the damage to Brady's reputation is irreparable. Some unconditional support.

I hope fans are lighting up the Patriots twitter/facebook etc letting him know the Pats fans don't accept his judgement!!!! I'm sick to my stomach he did this!!!

A fine idea! Venting is good first step for fans.

The NFL doesn't want this joke of a report to go to court and get ripped to shreds by a good lawyer. Most likely the suspension gets lifted so the NFL can come out of this unscathed.

After Kraft supported Goodell after Ray Rice, we all should have seen this coming.

So how long until wellsreportcontext.com is taken down?

Seriously, I hope there isn't a back room deal for Brady. What sucks now is even if his suspension gets overturned on appeal, everyone will just say "yeah, Brady's still definitely guilty, but goodell had to throw Kraft a bone".

I want this to go to court, and I want Brady to be exonerated. And I want the league's antitrust exemption to be a casualty, because **** each and every owner in the league, as well as each and every dipshit working in the NFL league office.

Not childish at all. Only a simpleton would accept getting screwed in the ass because you got bought dinner beforehand.
