I think that despite the disappointing tone the lack of detail and sole focus on "league above all" indicates that something is in the works.

My guess is: Brady's suspension eliminated (NFL know they were going to lose anyway), 2nd in 2016, 4th in 2017.

after my initial emotional explosion, I realize that the fact that Kraft had gone on record to say the Patriots will not appeal, is nothing new. As we already heard this morning, something else, a deal behind close doors is in the works. So while the Patriots will not appeal, it still does not mean we lose a 1st and a 4th. I think a reduction is still in the works.

Sorry, I can't accept anything more sever than what other teams received for admittedly pumping in crowd noise or openly tampering. For Kraft to do so is on him but we as fans shouldn't. I also won't ever again be participating in any of the draft hype as we have Patriots fans will be excluded once again by the league. Docking 1st round picks for not granting a 5th interview? League is a joke worried more about appeasing the masses and money than getting things right.

Wait...Kraft's role as team owner, and the penalties levied against the team, are separate from Brady's penalties as union member and his appeal through the NFLPA.

Even if there's a handshake agreement about a reduction in Brady's suspension this 'no appeal' announcement sounds to me like the Patriots team penalties--1st in '16, 4th in '17, $1 million--will stand. I could be wrong but the Brady suspension and the Pats penalties are handled under very different sections of the CBA/league bylaws.

Kraft already accepted surrendering his draft picks and one million dollars. That will not be appealed and cannot change. Brady's suspension would be overturned by a judge regardless of what the NFL does. Kraft kept his membership in the billionaire boys club. He bought nothing for the team and his fans.

Sh.tbag Goodell should be announcing the Patriots loss of all future first round picks any minute now.

I really don't care anymore, take the next 5 years first round picks for all I care.

Kraft surrended because he has a glass ceiling. Doesn't want to go to court because he must also be dirty as hell, fuk this mother ****er mobster.

I hope the Patriots play in empty stadium every home game and go 0-16, so they loose the first overall pick.

I'M JUST DONE WITH THIS ****. SO MUCH TIME WASTED, MANY SUBJECTS IN COLLEGE I HAD TO REDO BECAUSE I COULDN'T SPEND A FUKING SUNDAY AFTERNOON STUDYING FOR THIS.

Doesnt matter, the damage is done now, by the frigging owner of the team even. unreal.

I don't care what kind of deal is in the works................ Your owner, that has made untold millions off you, just publicly admitted that we are, in fact........... Cheaters. Even if Goodell comes back in a week or two and says.... "I absolve those cheaters of there sins and pronounce all penalties forgiven"........ It'll just be seen as him having mercy on us cheaters.

If Tom Brady plays another down for that man, I will have a tough time supporting him. Demand a trade Tom. Your "surrogate" father just sold you up a river". So disgusted right now.

The WORST case is Brady's suspension being eliminated. I've been harping on this point, but it eliminates any possibility of this going to court and for the league's shenanigans coming to light. It removes Tom's chance to clear his name, and if this was really the "deal", then Kraft screwed Tom in the worst way possible.

Screw this sh!t. I want Brady to take this as far as he can. Open up that wound and splay it right open for the world to see.

Does it matter at this point?

I don't think the league will comment on Deflategate because the subject was closed by Kraft.

Agree completely He should go after their antitrust exemption.

why would te NFL reduce the penalty to brady and the patriots? it would make goodell look weak. kraft fell on his own sword to protect the league.

Goodell upholds TB12 suspension. He looks like a hero to America. He jumps on the Democratic Ticket and runs for president. Wins in a landslide. I defect to Russia
