What compromise can you live with if the Pats are able to negotiate with the NFL?

Same fine for the Colts then? Using the gauge they inexplicably decided to attribute to the Patriots all Colts balls measured below 12.5.

It would be somewhat funny if the league decided to give out fines to teams because the laws of physics don't bend to their rules. The cherry on to of this absurd drama.

Like i said, the rule is stupid and will be changed

Not to belabor the point, but you need to look up the game day procedures as to who is responsible for ball pressure. If a rule was broken, it was by the officials and not the Pats.

not according to the rule book. The patriots provided balls at 12.5, the refs approved them at 12.5. the balls were below 12.5 at halftime. that is an equipment violation, just like if a player lets his socks get too low .

Stupid rule, its going to be changed.

The next Pats-gate. Goodell wants 5 years from now, Kraft wants 7.

this wouldn't surprise me in the least.

"Listen bob, I'm looking weak, i need you to take a dive for me, just like back at spygate."

"Live with"? Get the first round pick back, have Kraft release a statement proclaiming innocence but acknowledging the low guilt standard, and let Brady fight his own battle for full personal exoneration.

no compromise, no punishment. If u are not guilty u are not guilty. PERIOD
they are guilty of lack cooperation, cause they didnt want Mcnally to take gazillon interview and Brady fdidnt hand over text, that already have.

For pats lack of cooperation i am willing to accept that they can take pats all the 2rd picks till BB is a head coach, cause BB really suck at it latelly (crossing finger bout Garappolo though)

Principles are great and all but I'd just like to have our ****ing 1st rounder back. The one lost from 2007 still ****ing annoys me.

And the point is, once given to the officials, total responsibility for the balls belongs to the officials. If the balls totally deflate, it's on the refs. Understand?

again, that's not accurate. The home team retains responsibility.

"Note: It is the responsibility of the home team to furnish playable balls at all times by attendants from either side of the playing field."

Only acceptable punishment for me is the 25K fine that is stated for any violaton of playing equipment even that is too much because Patriots were completely exonerated in the flawed report. As for Brady no suspension whatsoever is the only thing acceptable

The rule doesn't require the ball to remain in range; it just days they can't be tampered with after they're approved.

I want the 1st rounder back. I want the league to say that the remainder is for perceived obstruction, and no tfor the offense. And I want Brady's suspension to stay at 4 games. Why? So he can still have it play out in appeal and in court, where all of the league's malfeasence will come to light, andTHEN the suspension will hopefully get thrown out. My fear is that Kraft accepts the loss of the picks and fine, and negotiates Brady's suspension away, thereby putting an end to the whole thing without Tom getting his chance to fight.

The stupid rule doesnt take into account weather. thus by measuring the ball at halftime and seeing it below 12.5 the patriots were in a rule violation. $25k fine and move on with our lives.

I'd rather lose every pick next year than to admit to something I didn't do. If the Patriots really didn't do anything, then don't accept any guilt...as a fan, I could live with any punishment in that case. I can't support accepting false guilt "for the good of the team/NFL".

Posted this in another thread, but what I really DON'T want, and I fear, is for Kraft to have Brady's suspension thrown out but agree to the other sanctions. If that happens, the fight ends here without Tom having the chance to clear himself.

Krafty Bob takes his 40 licks, even though nothing was proven, just to stay in the cool kids club...I bet Kraft agrees to take his fine and lost draft picks in exchange for Brady's lifted/reduced suspension...I'm telling you, if Kraft "accepts" anything less than full exoneration and the apology for which he asked - then either A.) the Pats/Brady DID do something wrong and we've been lied to or B.) Krafty's just being a member of the Billionaire Boys Club and his seat at the cool kids table is worth public humiliation...
CALLED IT!!!!! F KRAFTY BOB!
