Shefter: New Ball Recording Procedures

Proving once again what we already knew, Roger Goodell is vastly overqualified for his job.

Have I mentioned that his dad was a Senator?

maybe they need to quantify the differences specified variations in pressure make

would the game be any different if the spec was 11.5 to 14.5 instead of 12.5 to 13.5

are we talking about the same impact as the adjustable thermostats in indoor stadiums? or is it the same as the elevation of a stadium? is it possible for a ball to even be the same in denver as it is in miami?

Schefter stated that "the league will likely change the way balls are handled pregame this coming year and could find balls that start at 12.5 psi could go down to levels of 11.7 psi like the Patriots’ footballs did." So he and the league still don't understand simple science. Smh

I'm looking forward to the next 30 F outdoor game. The league might believe aliens are behind the 2 psi drop.

30degrees?

Lol, teh next winter game in greenbay when with the windchill the temp is something around -22 degrees, and the ball measures just north of 10psi, possibly in the 9s and then greenbay gets... no punishment at all, because greenbay are not cheaters am i right fellas.

Yeah... I don't trust this at all.

All this was explained in other posts by PBPF, Drew Fursten and others. However 95% of the country has no clue about the IGL, this is layered on top of the lies the 'leaks' spread by the NFL FO via Mortensen.

The process was a joke, now to save face the NFL will come up with a rigorous process. IF they choose to verify/discover the IGL, they could allow everyone to save face. Wonder if this is the agreement. Suspend everything pending the results to see if balls in the 40.' rain ect behaves the ways the Pats balls did.

Get Brady to buy in and no discovery process for Kensil, Blandino, Goodell, Wells, ect, when Brady sues for defamation.

Kraft needs to demand a Patriots representative be present at all/any air pressure tests.

I woke up the first cold morning we had and my tire pressure monitor light was on in my car......

I said to myself: "That Tom Brady......he's such a prankster"
Were Doritos crumbs scattered about the ground?

Wasn't the Miami one just 5 million or was that number misrepresented. Ted Wells should do better work for that amount of money.

Better work, are you crazy the guy is a Magician, he has gotten 73 % of America and the NFL HQ believing TB12 and the Pats are CHEATERS. Think about it the guy is so good he made NATURE disappear while in plain sight. Worth every penny they bought him for.

None if this is necessary because precise inflation doesn't matter to the game. They just pretended it mattered to screw the Pats. Now they have to keep up the charade of pointlessness.

They could just as well measure the grass to make sure it's 2 inches tall and not 2.00001 inches tall. Or measure the lines on the field to ensure its 100 yards long and not 100.003 yards long.

The commissioner is an idiot.

First the league better by supplying every team and every single ref with brand new highly accurate, identical pressure gauges! And mandate that all have to calibrated regularly and meticulously maintained.

After watching refs in the Peter King special chuck balls around saying, "12.5, feels good enough", and seeing how lax Walt Anderson was even after being told something fishy might be happening with the balls, I can't imagine the refs are too pleased with having to go through all this garbage every game now.

IMO the changes in procedures is kind of what PATS thought would be the outcome of this, that Ted Wells would see a Non chalant attitude towards measurements, gauging, documenting... look at Roger and go "DUH"until you fix this you cant come down on anybody. When it turned out the way it has, we have the "fight" we have now.
