What compromise can you live with if the Pats are able to negotiate with the NFL?

Return of both picks, drop the fine to $25k, removal of the suspension from brady, and apology for letting this get out of control, firing of Kensil and Blandino. A public outing of the people making the leaks, those (nfl sources) and those people being fired, in the case of the Colts leaks, those people should be fined and suspended for trying to ruin the integrity of the league.

Then The league should send out a memo explaining that unforeseen scientific facts have resulted in new rules coming down the pipe line regarding control and regulation of ball psi to account for weather factors.

Why keep the $25k fine? because science or not, the balls were below 12.5 when they were measured. the rule is outdated, but technically the patriots "broke it" minimum fine, and rule changes in the future.
I could live with this

I'm concerned about Kraft & Goodell being chummy again. Kraft needs to understand that Goodell can't be trusted. He is the enemy. Nothing good will come of this relationship for the Pats.

The fact that Goodell and Kraft are on amicable terms could help cool tensions between the two sides and help lead to truce on Deflategate.

Goodell-Kraft attended Sean McManus’ 60th birthday Sat in NYC; they were spotted “on a couch, talking by themselves for quite a long time."

I am going to be optimistic on this and believe, in the end, this will turn out hugely in favor of the Pats.

If this is Kraft just bending over for Goodell then once Brady and Belichick are finished then I am finished with the NFL.

The only dialogue between the NFL and Kraft will be for Kraft to be told to shut his mouth and accept
his punishment. Otherwise, he and Jonathan will be removed from all the various committees
on which they serve.

heres my take....under no circumstance regarding a compromise will we receive a full exoneration. the nfl cannot do that, they will look like complete morons.

$1M Fine - i doubt kraft cares all that much about the $1M fine, although i am sure he would like to lower it so its not the largest in NFL history. my guess is he wont make much of a big deal

2016 1st Round Pick - my guess is that we will lose a pick in 2016. if I am kraft i am trying to get this down to a 2016 2nd or 3rd round pick.

2017 4th round Pick - i doubt he cares all that much about it.

In Sum - I say (1) $750K fine, (2) 2016 2nd Round Pick, (3) 2017 4th Round Pick and (4) Agreement that NFL never uses Ted Wells' firm again

Roger Goodell and Patriots owner Robert Kraft already have met, spoke and even hugged, per an industry source who witnessed it.
If this is true it looks like Kraft's is going to bend over, grab his ankles, and take one in the arse...F him if that's the case...Krafty Bob, Belichick, and Brady have all claimed to have done nothing wrong...so why take in the cornhole Krafty????

They didn't break any rule. The official measured, supposedly, all the footballs pre-game and they were within the allowed range.

Here we know where the starting point for the league is. It is the entire penalty they gave us. The Starting term for the Patriots is probably the most likely out come of what would happen if they case is brought to court (Brady's suspension likely being lifted altogether).

So obviously it makes no sense for the Pats to take anything less than Brady's full exoneration but if they do take that deal then that only helps the NFL and not the Patriots most likely.

The NFL on the other hand needs to keep Brady suspended for some time cause it does not want to admit they got it wrong with suspending him. IF he is not suspended at all the question is asked "why is he not suspended; isn't he guilty which the picks and fine prove illustrate?". Now you can talk about the million dollar fine but honestly that does not matter and even if they get it all back it is BY FAR the least important piece of this.

So here is the deal I HOPE the Patriots get that MIGHT be possible. The 1st round pick is knocked down to a 2nd round pick (to knock it down more or take it away completely look bad for the league at this point), the Pats get the 4th back cause frankly no one cares, Brady misses 2 games only and the fine is dropped to half a million (more a statement thing).

I think this gets to an aspect of it that would be important to me: an acknowledgment of error on behalf of the league. It cannot be made to stand that the league is blameless.

Brady suspension is wiped out, and we get our 1st Rd pick back.

They can keep the fine and the 4th.
Sure, as long as you're okay with the league changing the name of the team to the New England Patsies.

If brady is suspended for a single game, his reputation is taken a hit without doing anything. It would be a lost battle after all this noise from yee and the pats and kraft saying to peter king that he believes brady . Accepting a compromise means he did something.I hope they dont but I fear they will.

The rule states they need to remain at or above 12.5 which they were not at half time because the nfl has a rule that doesnt take into account weather, or temperature, or real life. Complain all you want, but if you go by the letter of the rule book a rule WAS broken, its a stupid rule that's going to change.

You know who else embraced at a public function:

my prediction (unfortunately) is that Kraft accepts the NFL's punishment but says "The NFL has agreed to study the issue" and that will be good enough for him... sad if true but I suspect that it will be something similar and many Patriots fans will live with it because they want to believe... I need something to restore my faith though and anything that doesn't inflict some kind of painful embarrassment (as the Patriots have suffered) is not enough.

Another option is they accept everything and turn over the suspension.. either way, this is going to show whether Kraft has any pride or he's in it for the bucks only.
