So, I don't want this to devolve into a homerific sh!t-show... think this through with me here, I'm trying to be serious.
Brady is universally lauded for his preparation, and work ethic. I would say that in addition to that, he appears to be fairly adaptable as well (playing through injury, doesnt complain about things outside of his control, I'm sure I could be missing some here). However, he also appears to be a creature of habit, religiously following workout schedules, meal planning, and other secretive preparatory processes that he deeply deeply believes in.
My question is, how (not if...) will this offseason affect him? He clearly cares about his legacy, and he clearly cares about football. Don't tell me he will be happy with no football in his life, that Gisele and his kids are enough. We know he is a family man. He is also a competitor that needs a competitive outlet.
Does his psyche get damaged from essentially being a pawn in this drama? Does it sour him on the NFL and its trappings at all? Is he rusty if he sits a couple games (for the record I wouldn't bet on this one)? Does he clash with Jimmy? Does he develop diabetes from eating regular ice cream and not avocado ice cream because the court dates are at weird times?
This board is not a hotbed of homerism per se, but with all the bravado against Wells, Goodell, et al (deserved), I can't be the only one wondering what sort of negative effect will come about because of this whole ****show. Something somewhere is gonna show some strain, I can feel it. I guess I should ask as well: how does this effect the other players, rookies, belichick, coaching staff, front office even?
