Request was made prior to decision on punishment. Patriots went along with NFL request for what they thought was the good of the league.
Seems to me I've heard somewhere that these two cannot be reinstated without NFL approval.
Just so sick how this ownership has continually bent over for the NFL office.
Better not see it again Robert Kraft.

No good deed goes unpunished.

I've been yelling this at these mediots for days. I wanna reach into the tv and beotch slap them

I'm guessing for now, it's just an extended vacation. I'm sure Kraft gave them a wink and a nice pat on the butt and reassured them in some way. Otherwise, he'll be at a disadvantage should they both testify in Brady's appeal as angry former employees and there might be revenge leaks to the media. Kraft is not that dumb.

Call me cynical but i am sure the NFL wanted them cut loose in the hopes they would feel exactly that way and go blabbing their mouths to the press even if they were lying. Would not surprise me if the NFL did not send certain press directly to them. For me the NFL HQ has more in common with the CIA than a sports league. It is sickening>

What sickens me is the fact that the Patriots, in the biased and judgmental media eyes, have been saying the Pats did this on their own. They then say that because they did this it shows their guilt. Just one more example of the NFL letting a lie continue which is smearing the Pats name more.

?!?

Rodney, you've been more than a little lost on this topic, given that you've sold out TB. Just what are you saying here?

Wow isn't it interesting how all these little tidbits of information that were leaked to the public and patriots have been getting killed for turn out to be incorrect and the nfl just sits on it, does nothing to correct it, even though they know what it's doing to the patriots reputation
In the beginning I didn't know what to think but wasn't really leaning towards a complete set up but the more and more information that comes out the more I do!

This was a Patriot counter leak to yesterday's 'Kensil's leak'.

And other piece of (weak) hater ammo gets shot down.

Yet another straw man dies.

At least cooperating with the investigation, being exonerated, and suspending personnel at the behest of the league got the league to knock the punishment down to the most severe team punishment in league history.

And there's another media-driven argument gone to pot. how many do they have left?

I was watching TV with my wife and daughter and it was one of those crime drama's. Invariably, the "bad guy" comes after the "helpless victim" and the helpless victim will temporarily disable the bad guy and run away. Unless it's the star of the show (and this usually happens in the opening minutes), the bad-guy will catch up and dispatch the victim.

I told them, if they ever get in a situation like that, not to run, but to kick the living snot out of them. Kick them (assuming guy) in the ding-ding, kick them in the head until they stop resisting/fighting. Then give them a few more just to make sure.

That would be my advice to Kraft. don't let the bad guy come after you again....dispatch him.

So now that there is a reason why the Pats suspended Jastremski and McNally will the people who think the Pats are guilty change for the argument from "If they are innocent, why did they suspend Jastremski and McNally before the League ruled?" to "If they are innocent, why did they comply to the NFL's request to suspend Jastremski and McNally?".

Logical, really. When you have a goal/narrative, everything gets skewed towards that objective. It's journalistic integrity that needs to be maintained.

BTW, here is Florio's Facebook article on this:

For those asking why Patriots suspended two employees if those two did nothing wrong, as New England claims: NFL asked Pats to suspend them prior to discipline being handed down, per a league source in New York. New England obliged with the NFL's request.

Am i the only one that thinks Schefter is like pretty much the only one in national media that hasn't been trying to destroy pats image? I remember early on when all those false leaks were out I didn't see anything from him saying it like that information was a fact...in fact he seems to be the first one to report things pro pats. I hope after this all over the pats remember this and use him as their go to person for any interviews /stories etc. I don't think I can handle seeing brady sit down for a interview before a game with one of these guys who's been basically calling him a cheater throughout all of this.

It is crazy how far the media goes to show the Patriots are acting guilty. I heard Adam Jones sit there and trying to parse Bob Kraft's words to Peter King and how he never said he is innocent and that he always said the League didn't find proof. Chris Russo is going off on Brady right now on WEEI because if he was innocent, he would he screaming it at the top of the lungs.

This piece of information certainly goes a long way to refuting the various reports that the Patriots didn't cooperate with the league during this investigation.

Florio, in relaying this news, continues to jab away with impressive remarks based upon truth!

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...spended-jastremski-mcnally-at-request-of-nfl/

"It started with someone from the league leaking to Chris Mortensen of ESPN the blatantly false news that 11 of the 12 Patriots footballs were a full two pounds under the 12.5 PSI minimum at halftime of the AFC title game. That set the narrative of presumed tampering, and the league never corrected the misinformation until the Ted Wells report disclosed for the first time 13 days ago actual numbers that revealed: (1) dramatically conflicting pressure gauges; and (2) a set of readings that falls fully in line with the operation of the Ideal Gas Law."
