.....So why does Kraft not want to sue the NFL? Why is he even back-channeling with the NFL?

According to Rich Hill, several teams, coaches, owners, and executives have all have come out in support of Roger Goodell - essentially throwing Kraft underneath the bus.

Kraft is supposedly one of the wealthiest and most respected owners in the League. Yet it is clear that most of the NFL does not want his team to thrive and are doing everything in their power to undercut the legacy of the Patriots.

Look, I admire Bob Kraft, but I don't understand why he's in negotiation talks at a time like this. There's absolutely nothing to be gained with these people.

Mr. Kraft. Let me make something clear to you: The NFL has abandoned you. Your colleagues have abandoned you. And your friends are more than fine with allowing your team to suffer.

Whether you like it or not, you are no longer part of the establishment you've worked to build. So I beg you Sir, take this battle to court, and forget about your so-called "friends." Your number 1 priority should be with your fans and the team, who are counting on you to make the right decision!

I can only hope that Jonathan and Kraft's inner circle is saying the same exact thing.

I'm pretty sure Kraft and his team is a lot more plugged in and equipped to make these types of decisions than posters on patsfans.com

And I also am certain he is much more in the know of who supports Goodell publically and privately than rich hill is

Kraft's open support of Goodell through the years shows Kraft is not brilliant at judging character and figuring out when he's getting used.

A majority of people around these parts figured out Goody was a two faced slime ball who would drown his mother to get ahead.

Who do we suppose those 11 teams are?
  1. Putrid Slime
  2. El Feeto El Buffalo
  3. Goldfish
  4. Horsefaced Neckbeards
  5. Ray Lewis White Suits
  6. We Juiced to a Dynasty in the 70's
  7. Omaha Omaha Foreheads
  8. Goober Juniors
That leaves another three.

Like I said. I respect Kraft. But he's made his share of mistakes too .... the biggest of which was publically coming out in support of Goodell, when everyone in his circle advised against it

It doesn't prove anything about his judgement of character, it proves he wasn't going to publically make statements bashing an active commissioner because he's a businessman who thrives on building relationships, not a poster on patsfans

Of course it proves his judgement of character. He didn't just NOT "publicly make statements bashing an active commissioner" he very publicly made statements supporting the commissioner when he had no obligation to do so. His support may very well have saved the job of Goodell. He either misjudged Goodell's character or he was happy to support a mental midget tyrant to make decisions for a billion dollar enterprise. Another words, he's either a poor judge of character or a moron. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that he's not a moron.

Was he a poor judge of character when he gave a one time failed Browns head coach the keys to the organization which cost him multiple high draft picks?

Nice. Only ones I can't figure out are Putrid Slime(Jets?), Goldfish (Miami?), and Goober Juniors.

Also, I don't get how 11 teams support the punishment, but only 5 owners support it. Shouldn't that be 11 owners? How does a team support the punishment, but the owner of the team doesn't?

First two = correct and Goober Juniors refers to the other organization in Gotham City.

Kraft is going to publicly support the league and goodell all the way until he stabs him in the back. If it was easy to undermine a too powerful commish voted in by all the owners, he would have done it already.

You guys sound like you play poker by going, wow, four aces!

Well for arguments sake Kraft only really needs to convince 3 of the owners assuming that 20 of the other owners staying quiet means it is more probable than not they are backing Kraft.

No man speaking out and making yourself a target makes way more sense lol

What did you phrase it in future tense?

Kraft just removed the dagger that Goodell stuck in his back

Are people expecting a frontal attack on the commissioner before this thing has hit the courts?

Come on. The owners won't publicly turn at a time like this.

I mean....

"I think he's doing a great job, and I'm a big supporter of his," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said this May. "You can easily just follow the rules and you'll be all right."

We all know Jones doesn't mean that. After all

The NFL is taking away millions of dollars of salary-cap space belonging to the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins for front-loading contracts during the uncapped 2010 season, according to league sources.

The salary cap is projected to be $120.6 million in 2012, but the Cowboys will lose $10 million, while the Redskins will be docked $36 million in cap space, sources said.

Sources said Monday that the amounts the Redskins and Cowboys have been penalized off the cap could be split up any way the teams chose for the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

He knows better.

Giants? Hmm. Not sure on that one. I seem to recall hearing that the Kraft's and Mara's are fairly close. Plus why would they hate us? They seem to always beat us lol.

How do 11 teams support Goodell's punishment but only 5 owners? If 5 owners are for the punishment that means 5 teams are for it. Okay, maybe 6 teams if Green Bay is one of them. A team wouldn't be for it if their owner was neutral or favored our position.

And who cares what other players, coaches and league and team execs think? Irrelevant in the extreme.

BTW, all those in favor of Goodell's punishment are still in the minority. The majority may not all be with us. But they're not against us in this either.
