Accepting one cent as a fine is admitting you did something. All or nothing is the only way.

Never back down over your beliefs.

I don't know if Kraft has any sense of principle or conviction when it comes to putting his team above the interests of the league

Things I want:
  1. Brady's suspension overturned.
  2. The fine tabled against the Patriots dismissed.
  3. The return of the Patriots draft picks.
  4. A full and unreserved apology from Roger Goodell.
  5. An independent investigation into the sting operation.
  6. Roger Goodell being removed from office.
Missed anything?
The Colts punished for measuring INT ball at AFCCG would be nice.

NFL headquarters razed and the ground salted?

Yup what a clown show seriously. UN summit is happening in SF tomorrow if you were listening to what these clowns said about it.

The revenue of the NFL is bigger than the GDP of some countries

So godell allows framegate to blow up, doesn't correct mortensons false 2 psi below report, messes up Pats SB week. gives biggest punishment ever to Pats and taints their name( which you cant take back, no matter what, USA besides NE think they cheated and their SB is tainted) . This Sb was supposed to shut everyone up who said PAts haven't won since they were caught cheating. grigson, kensil irsay got what they wanted. And now he wants to negotiate? GFU. I would assume the other owners have pressured him in this.

counter proposal lets negotiate about spygate !

Can't believe people here are willing to settle for small this and that!! Complete exoneration or we're going to court. This, the greatest team in all sports, getting their reputation smeared because of jealousy, must be put to rest. If not, it will NEVER go away now matter how much we try to sway the haters.

One negotiation strategy is to ask for 5 things if you really want 2 or 3.
So in this case, I really want a reduced suspesion and protect the #1 pick. The apology, resignation, and "you hurt my feelings" stuff I can live without.
So get back the #1 pick and reduce to a 1 or 2 game suspension and maybe increase the fine to $1.5M. I'd be happy with that.

Sorry, "No".

Item #5 is not negotiable if we want to stop this from ever happening again.

2.6 billion is the value of the franchise. the only way he loses (and 1 million is pretty minimal) is if the entire NFL loses and the whole loses value.

i.e. Going full out war and changing the landscape of the NFL/losing their government monopoly status. Though, I have said before that I think the Patriots would actually do better in that scenario.

I don't want Kraft to settle until the charred remains of the NFL front offices are finished smoldering. But, asa businessman, it makes sense to get most of what you want and go for the "greater good". I'm just saying, that line, I hope, is more 85% Kraft and 15% NFL and not close to 50/50.
Kraft isn't going to lose his franchise in any outcome. He doesn't need to challenge the anti-trust exemption. The NFL is a monopoly because nobody has made a league people want to watch, not because it's illegal to make another league. And if the team could not operate collectively then the small market teams stand to lose the most as large market teams can get better players and spend more money. Kraft has a large market team.

I don't see the upside for Kraft in agreeing. He makes money by selling his product to fans. Pissing off the fans and his star player will likely have a greater Negative effect to the bottom line than anything IMO.

7. Kensil removed from office.
8. Forced sale of Colts then Colts moved to Las Vegas.
9. Complete, unreserved exoneration.
10. Goodell, Kensil, Grigson, Harbargh, Irsay, and pretty much everyone on ESPN appearing at Gillette Stadium on opening day, marching out to midfield pre-kick off where they put their heads between their own legs and kiss their own arse.

otherwise, we charge!

Typical NFL. They try to bully you. You stand up to them and they back down. I know this all too well.

We don't need to avoid lawsuits, we need to seek them, unless the NFL meets the demands that some posters in this thread have already listed.

Kraft doesn't want this in court. Remember, Kraft was already willingly bending naked over over the sofa with his eyes closed until he heard "No lube, and we're going after the other guy, too".

Kraft will probably cave and settle. Now, Jonathan, from what I'm told, would be happy to break out the tar and feathers.

Those nasty electronics communications MUST be exposed to the world.

It is easy to just want to get to get out of this with Brady and the Pats intact, but the agenda that the league and some teams have against the Pats needs to be exposed and punishments levied, people fired, and the Pats compensated.

Otherwise we'll be going through this all again.

As Kipling so succinctly put its; "The problem with paying the Dane Geld, is that you'll never get rid of the Dane."

In other words, the league wants to know how much the Patriots are willing to accept to make the lawsuits go away, etc. THAT will be the new threshold then against the Patriots next time, because there WILL be a next time, and a time after that, and a time after that.

The only way to stop a bully, to stop a serial batterer, is to beat them into submission, to make them understand that they won't get away with it anymore.

The Commissioner is a serial batterer with a special hatred of New England. He and his thug monkeys will keep after the Patriots again and again, until they destroy the franchise, unless the franchise takes this to court and wins.

It's all or nothing time.

I think something like this is possible
Brady suspension overturned or he will go to court and win
Pats penalty reduced to mid round pick and $100M fine.
Nothing will happen to Goodell for now.

I'm sure it's a typo, but you really need to change that $100m to $100k.

And Jonathan would be right in this instance.

If there isnt some sort of admittance of nefarious behavior from the NFL I dont care if they reduce all penalties to zero and apologize profusely. I am done with the league.

They lied, period.

This will never happen, unfortunately if you stop watching the NFL now you'll miss the fu tour 2015.

I don't see 12 excepting any punishment. So I can't see how they can resolve anything except to rewind the whole thing and fine us 25k. And that my fine Patriot fans, just ain't gonna happen!

This can either be done as Brady being separate from the team, or with Brady's 'exoneration' being a requirement to any deal.
