So, I don't want this to devolve into a homerific sh!t-show... think this through with me here, I'm trying to be serious.

Brady is universally lauded for his preparation, and work ethic. I would say that in addition to that, he appears to be fairly adaptable as well (playing through injury, doesnt complain about things outside of his control, I'm sure I could be missing some here). However, he also appears to be a creature of habit, religiously following workout schedules, meal planning, and other secretive preparatory processes that he deeply deeply believes in.

My question is, how (not if...) will this offseason affect him? He clearly cares about his legacy, and he clearly cares about football. Don't tell me he will be happy with no football in his life, that Gisele and his kids are enough. We know he is a family man. He is also a competitor that needs a competitive outlet.

Does his psyche get damaged from essentially being a pawn in this drama? Does it sour him on the NFL and its trappings at all? Is he rusty if he sits a couple games (for the record I wouldn't bet on this one)? Does he clash with Jimmy? Does he develop diabetes from eating regular ice cream and not avocado ice cream because the court dates are at weird times?

This board is not a hotbed of homerism per se, but with all the bravado against Wells, Goodell, et al (deserved), I can't be the only one wondering what sort of negative effect will come about because of this whole ****show. Something somewhere is gonna show some strain, I can feel it. I guess I should ask as well: how does this effect the other players, rookies, belichick, coaching staff, front office even?

He hasn't missed a single "voluntary" workout this off-season.

He was just in the Bahamas this past weekend, golfing with Jordan.

Don't know about anyone else but I will hazard a guess that he's doing just fine.

He's golfing with Jordan.

I don't care who you are, having your character assassinated is tough.
We all hope Brady can use it like "Tackling fuel"

How did he handle the Cincinnati game when the whole world was saying he was done, sucks, and off to Arizona? You know, a couple of months before he had the best Superbowl performance ever against the best defense in the league. I'm sure he'll be fine.

DUMP

All this made me think of was a rookie Brady throwing to his college buddy (FB I think) "I am gonna beat out huard, I am gonna beat out Drew" and the ball coming harder and harder every time. Lots of extra reps with a "f u Goodell, f u troy, f u BSPN, f u haters, f u anyone who questions my integrity" for every extra throw. I think we see the best Brady of his career because nobody plays better mad or with something to prove the Tom f ing Brady. He has never had more fuel to push himself then this year.

"Auntie Em!! Auntie Em!! The sky is falling ...the SKY IS FALLING!!!!"

I think the Patriots are going to be a dangerous team this year.

1. Tom is going to come into the season with a serious chip on his shoulder.
2. We saw how he could handle the pressure during the Super Bowl after 2 weeks of Deflate gate BS.
3. There won't be the learning curve with the receiving corp this year. They are all coming back with the addition of Scott Chandler at TE. That could work out well.
4. If the offense is close to where it was at the end of last season we will have the type of offense that will keep our defense fresh with sustained drives throughout the game and with the beefed up front 7 that could translate into 4th quarter stops or even better turnovers.

If I were the Colts I would seriously consider forfeiting the Oct 18th game. Just take the loss and move on.

How did being drafted in the 6th round effect him?

I've never been so confused by a post

sorry Rexxar...let me try to explain...the opening post is a preposterous piece of chicken little-lization IMO.

If you read the entire ad you will see "Auntie Em's quick guide to chicken breeds". See that?

OK...I italicized the "Auntie Em!" quote to stress that a chicken of a particular breed, to wit, the world renowned CHICKEN LITTLE is in effect creating a squawk bawk thread devoted to "Brady could be feeling REAL REAL BAD and it's all going to be bad!!! Sky falling sky falling!!"...

Brady could be "rusty!", "fighting with Jimmy G!", "going crazy sitting at home!", "psyche damaged!!"," he'll go SOUR!!"...is there a negative that C. Cluckley Cluckington DIDN'T cover in that post?
