This whole deflategate story is so absurd that reminds the best Conspiracy Theory movies out there. So based on another movie, Inception, it seems like an idea has been planted by someone, somewhere, in the right moment of time. Maybe they knew something for a long time, but an incident like this in week 3 would by pass without attention in a heartbeat.

So where is the genesis of this idea? For how long they have been sitting in this "information" (there is no information actually, but anyway, there was something, maybe only this fraudulent idea) ?

My uneducated opinion....the wheels were put in motion after TB12 quipped after the Divisional Round win over Baltimore.

"Maybe those guys gotta study the rule book and figure it out"

EDIT TO ADD: Obviously, not a true genesis of the idea/event....but to me was the proverbial straw....

Jim Irsay's womb.

To follow on my previous post, a fitting meme...

When this started with the innocuous leak to Kravitz in the middle of the night, the NFL was not prepared for the subsequent activity.. and they severely misjudged the playing field.. it spiraled out of control and they could not control the message or outcome...

The perverse result of unintended consequence(AKA backfire)....

It is the PSI in footballs.. no big deal, statistically Brady is about equal on the road as he is at home... on the road the balls are controlled by the other team.

Born in the brain of Ryan Grigson, as a tiny spark sprung from jealousy and paranoia.

Fanned to a tiny flame in the pea brain of Mike Kensil, fueled by similar hatred.

Fueled to a steady heat by the mouth of (perhaps) Jim Irsay pressed to the ear of Bob Kravitz .

Stoked to a 5 alarm blaze by the mouth of (perhaps) Mike Kensil pressed to the ear of Chris Mortensen.

Reads like the third stanza of The Battle Hymn of William and Thomas.

This sting operation MUST get exposed. Also, my main concern about bias against the Pats is, WHY is this the FIRST game, air in footballs was ever an issue, and WHY were the balls even tested. You can't tell me that up until that AFCCG, every ball in every game ever, was in compliance to the weight rule of 12.5-13.5 PSI, that is VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE.

Wherever it started, it either included someone completely ignorant of the science behind this, or smart enough to realize the media would be ignorant of the same, or not care, along with an uninformed public that could be led to a conclusion.

We forget 99% of our dreams. I remember one though: I remember it because in this dream..I was dreaming!

this is the first game it's an issue because nobody in the history of the nfl even cares about this.
since the pats were on the road and in a dome when the colts supposedly first 'noticed' this, and since this is the first we ever heard of that complaint, I have to assume that story is a lie.
the timing leads me to believe this originated in baltimore, but who knows.

the balls were supposedly measured pregame, if that even happened, because teh colts filed this complaint via e-mail prior to the game, and kensil forwarded it around, although seemed to give 2 craps.

first chance the colts had to get their hands on a ball they illegally gauged it, and being completely ignorant of temp's relationship to pressure, immediately ran to kensil who dean wormer'd the rest.
ROOOOOOBOT HOUSSSSSSSE!!!!!!
