Brady's suspension versus the draft picks

I am not real inspired after the FA signed this off-season. The first and a fourth draft picks hurt way worse than than a 4 game suspension for Brady. The Patriots should fight tooth and nail for those picks.

I didn't get the logic of losing draft picks after the report stated that the Patriots were not at fault. Whether Brady misses any games, he is going to be pissed and take it out on opposing defenses. A great scenario would be if Brady does miss games, that Jimmy G. is brilliant. He would be traded for at least a #1. I think the Patriots sign a great player in free agency next year. This team are not the patsies. The organization is pissed and I expect to see them back in the game next year.

Whether it's over turned or not, Brady is going to be pissed, and we all know how awesome Tom plays when he's pissed.

I hope the entire Patriot roster goes Marshawn Lynch on the media this year.

Idiots always going to be idiots but there is a big difference to his image if there is a penalty on the books or if he can get it completely overturned.
Not really. You call them idiots, but it's ninety percent of the public outside of NE. Brady's popularity plummeted 15 percent in just four days this past week. It's at an all time low. Thomase's story was rescinded and apologized for and yet mainstream media and fans will still say that they were punished for taping practices.

You might have noticed how much cap space it takes to sign a great player in free agency. See Suh, Revis.

And how much worse would it be if those tapes were actually true?

I want the picks back. I can envision a scenario where Brady not playing the first four games may even benefit us. The oline will probably be in flux like last year and maybe they will perfectly gel by the time the suspension is over. NFL just spared Brady some punishing hits and didn't even realize it. Talk about glass half full thinking right there.

It would certainly benefit Jimmy G., and probably not hurt the Patriots too much. The draft picks hurt, a lot.

The loss of the first rounder is worse, but Brady has a far better shot to overturn his punishment than the Patritots hence why the more attention.

If Brady gets his suspension overturned and the NFL gets humiliated - a new commissioner can fix the penalty.. Not sure we can get the case to go through that fast.. that's the major issue.

Eh there is believing because you want to and believing because you really really believe it. Brady winning a court case and getting the NFL to admit they screwed up would really help him in the court of opinion. Every single sports reporter/commentator and so on would be forced to say - well Brady won his case against the NFL for that penalty..

It will help him in the court of public opinion.. The big mistake the Pats made was spygate. Because they rolled over no one knows that what the Pats did is violate a memo that they believed was bunk not actually violate a rule.

Rolling over and taking punishment for something you didn't do is never the best policy. Brady and Kraft should fight this..
